Samsung - 970 EVO Plus 2TB Internal PCI Express 3.0 x4 (NVMe) Solid State Drive for Laptops with V-NAND Technology

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now, no complaint. The only thing I noticed is compared with the previous SK Hynix 512G SSD in my Dell G3, the operational temperature is slightly higher, roughly 10C. That's because the former is 2260 and the heat sink is also for that form factor. I am looking for a proper form factor heat sink to reduce the temp a little. The speed in RND4kQ32T16 is x3 times faster.

Insanely fast SSD. Read/Write speeds exactly as advertised. Games and apps take at most 30 secs to open. Everything feels buttery smooth with this drive. Samsung should drop 4 and 8 TB versions of this SSD asap.

I installed this Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB NVME in a Dell XPS 17 9500 I also purchased from Best Buy, as the Dell came with a single 1TB NVME but supports two. So far this device has performed well. It has not run hot and the performance has been what I expected with a 3455 read and 3317 write speed (see attached CrystalDiskMark test). Have only had it a month so can't speak its long term reliability, but it's plenty fast.

Installed in the recently purchased CLX Set TGMSETRXH0512BM and am beyond satisfied with the results. Boots are very fast and games load in a flash. Thermal specs are well within the safe range even at heavy load. Be sure to download the Samsung Magician and also the Data migration software. Only took a few minutes to migrate the data from the installed Sata SSD drive to this.

Awesome drive - I have the 1TB version of this drive for my system drive and picked up this 2TB option on sale since my MOBO has 3 slots for M.2 drives. I was going to transfer my system drive to this drive for added space but decided to just use this new 2TB drive for applications. Regardless, both drives are awesome - no issues with either and probably the fastest and best option for Gen 3 MOBO connections.

For the price, they could have included a set of the common screw sizes needed for this thing as my motherboard did not come with one. Luckily I had an old crashed laptop hard drive that I took apart that used the same itty bitty screw size. Needless to say I would have returned it on principal had I not found one. Obviously this is not Best Buy's fault and it's majorly cheap of Samsung to not include it. That aside, this thing is blazing fast, and makes my computer feel like it's from the future. 10 out of 10.

Excellent SSD to replace or add to your system. It's fast with an incredible amount of storage space. And the best part is that Samsung has their own cloning software for a stress free transfer. I replaced a couple of laptop SSDs with this and it's still running strong and fast.

Easy installation and set-up. Noticeable speed improvement on my Windows laptop plus switching from a hybrid storage system (500gb SSD plus 1tb standard HD) has optimized speed for program loading, etc. Highly recommend!
