Nice keyboard, worth it...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this at the same time I purchased my S3 in order to make my tablet more of a true work tool. It's a nice case, has protected my tablet from the one tumble its had off my night stand, and doesn't add too much weight keeping the entire unit thin. The keyboard keys have a nice tactile response and much nicer than typing on a screen. The holster for the S Pen is a nice touch too. The drawbacks are it does feel weird the first few times you fold the case over when using the tablet in portrait mode but you do get past it. When gaming in Landscape the S Pen in the holster can get in the way but its certainly a first world problem. When watching something while lying down, the screen angle isn't always optimal and it did take me a couple of days to not "fat finger" the typing on a truncated keyboard. Despite these minor things it is a great case and very nice to type on. If you're looking to make your tablet a work tool its certainly the way to go.

It's ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro: As a hybrid cover and keyboard all in one, it is okay. It protects the Tab S3 really well, and the keyboard is convenient for quick email responses or other works that need typing a lot. Unlike some other reviews, I personally like the language button to switch between input languages, which I frequently use. In addition, the S Pen holder on the side is quite useful. Con: The keys are too small and always making a typo. It is also overpriced at 130. Although I got that with 50% off, still doesn't feel like it completely worth. Sometime I have to detach the device if I don't need the keyboard, since it is a bit bothering if you use it as a plain tablet.

Overall a good accessory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that I use this tablet primarily for reading and occassional browsing or other minor tasks. As such, the keyboard is secondary to my use. However, when I actually want or need to use a keyboard for input, this case serves my needs well. The case uses magnets to attach the back of the Tab Pro 3. Initially I felt uneasy about the tablet just "sticking" to the case without any other attachment. Over a short amount of time with use, I'm comfortable with this approach. I sometimes use a small phone stand when sitting at a table to read material in portrait mode. Surprisingly, the thickness of tablet with the keyboard folded behind actually fits within the phone stand. The case does not allow the tablet's camera to be used - at all. If this is important, it may not be the case for you. Samsung provides a separate holder for the pen that attaches directly to the underside of the keyboard portion of the case - which is the front cover. No problems with this yet - but I'm pretty careful with packing and storing the tablet for travel. Time will tell when there's more miles of use. Overall, this may not be the perfect tablet for some, but for my use, it's quite good.

Wanted protection for the TAB and non touch keys
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first tablet and it seemed like holding a pane of glass. I was seriously concerned about it slipping out of my hands. I considered a cheap generic case but I touch type so I like a real keyboard. Since this is made for the TABS3 it just grabs on magnetically to the TAB and pins on the keyboard mate up with the tablet when you stand it up. By it's self, It adds almost nothing to the overall size, maybe a bit over a 1/4 inch. I did go buy a cheap generic padded case and threaded a cord though it's spine that I can throw over my shoulder so I can carry it all hands free. I wouldn't trust this to protect the TAB from a drop, but it makes dropping less likely and the keyboard is the big deal. When I lay in bed it holds the tab up and I use the SPen to play on the screen. Hands free no cramps. Considering all I had just spent on the tablet and stuff I bought that required the tablet it was a bit of a stretch to go for the keyboard but I'm glad I did.

Good, not great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This case is pretty handy in a lot of ways and I have found the keyboard easy to use both in its size and responsiveness. Though there are some limitations as mentioned in previous posts, the main reason I would give this case 4-stars is the lack of a rear camera hole when one is clearly described in the user guide. Yes, the tablet can be easily removed, but it seems that someone at Samsung intended there to be camera access when the case was in use, but that was not communicated to the design department. I have read about others trying to get the case replaced by Samsung due to the lack of a camera hole only to receive another case with the same problem - save yourself the trouble and just accept that this feature is missing, or buy a different keyboard case from another manufacturer.

A Excellent Keyboard Case...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This case is an excellent case for the Tab S3. It does take a little bit of time getting used to typing on this little guy, but when you do, you will be typing just like you would on a normal keyboard. My only gripe...well is the price of the darn thing. Yes you can go buy a cheaper one, but those are generally bluetooth powered and have batteries that you either have to change out or recharge...with the POGO connectors built in to the side of the tablet, this keyboard just snaps into place and you start typing. No pairing is required. I am glad that I bought this...if only any store had one instock when it was on sale.

Keyboard works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally like a keyboard for some of the heavier work on my Samsung S3 tablet. This case looks nice and the keyboard works great. It is a bit pricey and the one ding I give it is that if you grab the tablet with the keyboard open the magnet can let go of the tablet risking the chance of you losing grasp of the tablet itself. Safety clasps on the corners of the case while a little less sleek and classy might save some from an unfortunate accident of the tablet detaching and crashing to the floor, etc.

Q: QuestionCan you use the rear camera while the case is on? The pictures don't show any cutout for the camera.
Asked by steve.
- A:Answer No, you have to lift tablet off the cover (it is held on magnetically, so it's easy).

Q: QuestionDoes this case have a place to store the S Pen? The other Samsung cover for the Tab S3 does not.
Asked by HitFactor.
- A:Answer To answer your question , yes it does come with an adhesive loop that you can attack to the side. I if your thinking that the folio case doesn't provide an option for holding the S pen your not quite correct. I thought this too originally but it turns out the two ridges on the front of the case are magnetic and do a very nice job of holding the S pen for most tasks. If your throwing it in a bag I would recommend putting it somewhere in a sleeve so it doesn't get smashed. The way it hold is much like the surface pro 5 and surface book. I prefer the magnets to the loop option provided with the keyboard case.

Q: QuestionThe keyboard came with a metal clip type devise along with what looks like miniture toothpicks - whats this about?
Asked by PlugandPlay.
- A:Answer Those are refills for the stylus and the instrument to change them. Have not used them yet, but the stylus does wear out or needs changing eventually.

Q: QuestionIs it possible to fold the keyboard underneath and still use the touch screen keyboard ? Or, do you only use the separate keyboard once you've got it attached to the tablet ?
Asked by Lynn.
- A:Answer Absolutely. I have this setup, and just verified it. If you fold the keyboard back, when you touch the screen with your finger or stylus, the on-screeen/touchscreen keyboard pops up automatically. The keyboard receives it's power from the tablet itself, so the case-keyboard is only active while docked with a physical connection.

Q: QuestionIs there a way to turn off the clicking noise on the keyboard?
Asked by Sira.
- A:Answer Yes. Under <Settings>..<Sounds and vibration>, there is a "KEY-TAP FEEDBACK" section. There are 2 settings that you would be interested in.. 1. Keyboard sound - Play a sound when the Samsung keyboard is tapped 2. Keyboard vibration - Vibrate when the Samsung keyboard is taped.

Q: QuestionHow is the keyboard charged, does it get it's power from the tablet?
Asked by jimgord.
- A:Answer Once the magnet draws the tablet in and snaps it into place, the keyboard is ready to go. The battery from the tablet is what powers the keyboard.

Q: QuestionI have seen two reviews on another site stating that there is no cut out for the rear facing camera. Is this correct?
Asked by cvsusn.
- A:Answer That is correct. If you want to take a photo using the rear camera, you'll have to remove the Tab S3 from the keyboard cover. However, the Tab S3 mounts magnetically to the cover and self-aligns itself to it which makes its removal and re-installation quick and easy. Personally, I wouldn't want the keyboard dangling below the Tab S3 when taking photos so for me this isn't a problem or an inconvenience.

Q: QuestionSince it attaches with a magnet, do you think it's possible to attach it at the tablet while it is already using a slim cover? I don't want to use it always, but when I do, I don't want to switch from one cover to the other. Thank you
Asked by EGaz.
- A:Answer Nope, It needs to be without any other cover or the magnet will not be able to hold it up. It also uses the power from the tablet so the contact must be complete
