A: Yes it is online only and multiplayer. You can sail a sloop solo though. But up to 6 ships can be sailing around on a server at any given time which means as many as 24 players on a server if all 6 are galleons. Lots of fun!
Q: Do you have to have Microsoft game pass to play this digital version?
A: If you have game pass you get this game automatically and there is no need to buy this. I did not have game pass and I got this on-sale for $20 so I don't have to pay the monthly fee for gamepass but if you are playing on the xbox you will need xbox gold. This is will work fine without gamepass.

A: You use the Xbox App on your PC and install from there. It doesn't work with Steam.
