Q: Has Sony acknowledged the potential for white screen bleed?
A: Best Buy certainly has acknowledged that the bleed is occurring. One theory is that it is the way the installers grab the ultra thin screen but mu bleed has been on the bottom and lower corners where the set is the thickest. I've looked at a lot of TV's and in theory, again the edge lit sets are more prone to the problem than OLED or full array. That said, the Sony 900C is the worst I've seen and once you see it in your screen, you can't just ignore it. I ended up with the LG 55EG9600 and, while twice the cost, if the best picture experience is your goal, the LG picture is the most amazing, I have ever seen.
Q: What is the return policy on this item?
A: Hi. My wife and I were told that you have 15 days to return this tv if you are not happy with it. If you have light bleed, you will notice it right away. You will have to go to a predominantly black screen or play a widescreen dvd or blue ray to notice it. We didn't need 15 days. We returned the tv the very next day. The X850C model is the slightly thicker version and we are much happier with it. In fact, we even think the picture qualify on this model is slightly sharper.
A: Hi! This unit is not using gorilla glass and the backlight type is Edge LED. Thanks! ^Ron
A: This model came out in September of 2015.
Q: The Sound
A: These new TVs don't really pack a big punch of sound on their featherweight frame Best bet is up get a surround sound system or sound bar Only non money upgrading you can do is adjusting the sound profile in the tv setting for voice , movie & football as needed
A: Hi Daryl. This TV supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Pulse only. For the digital out formats, it only supports Dolby Digital. HDR10 is not supported at the moment. Thanks, -Mark
A: Hi AlexGym! Yes. The stand can be installed at a middle position to accommodate any existing surface/furniture. -Anthony
