A: Have you experienced a Movie in an iMax Theatre? The big screens are not straight up and down. The viewing angle on this TV is about 170 degrees. This translates into a good view up to 170 degrees in all four directions. So having the TV on a stand angled back does not impact the viewing performance. It does not need to angle back when mounted on the wall. You should ensure there is enough clearance around the TV so there is adequate ventilation for the internal circuits.
Q: Can the tv be put on a perfectly vertical stand to be put on furniture?

A: The TV is using 120hz.
A: Yes. I have mine mounted on a 3 shelf stand with a center post. A wall mount will work also. Be sure a get a photo of the Serial Number prior to mounting as the mounting post covers the sticker with the number.
