Great small camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera to use when walking around and to take with me when I didn’t want a larger camera. My first real test of this camera was at a baseball game which started with sun and finished after dark. During the game I wanted to get the players in action and finally settled on the batters. Once I got the settings right I was able to get many “action” shots where the batter was swinging at the ball. All of the keepers included the ball in the shot including a home run with the ball only a few feet off the bat! The ball was blurred but the batter, the catcher and the umpire were all in focus. I was setting about 200 feet from home plate. Overall very impressed with the results!

I love this camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not realize how much I love this camera. This camera has the technology of the Sony a7. The quality and clarity are absolutely superb especially in this tiny package. I usually shoot with my Panasonic Lumix G7. But when I'm traveling or just want to take something small then the Sony RX100 VI is perfect. With its 1 inch sensor I don't have to sacrifice quality.

Small and powerful camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the camera primarily outdoors and recently took it on a fly fishing trip to Canada. I used it mostly on the 'auto' settings for both pictures and some video. Results were crisp with good natural color. Battery life was good and it was easy to send the photos to both my iPhone and iPad.

Professional as I want
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is better than the one I have before RX100 lV . More function and more convenient.

Like having an SLR in your pocket!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera for the Kiss Kruise as I was told you could not use detachable lens cameras to shoot the bands. With an OPTICAL zoom to 200mm and a 2.8 F stop this camera seemed the best way to go. I shoots VERY nice pictures, almost the quality of my Nikon D3, and it's much easier to live with in its super compact size. I have included two photos I took with it, one at full size, and one at max zoom.

Four stars still makes a winner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Four stars as this compact is expensive give the price and features offered by competitors. I do like this better than the earlier Sony RX100 models, as it has a longer zoom range so in all it is a more flexible compact camera. It is very compact so it might be hard to stabilize it when hand holding it. I use a table to tripod so if I want to hand hold it I have some way of holding it. Also a handy feature is controlling the shutter with my iphone via a view that the camera has.

Best family/travel camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera! I’ve been doing photography for a few years now and having a DSLR, I never like to bring it around for family trips or vacations. I wanted this because of its portability. Not only can I just put it in my pocket, the quality is beautiful! Sure you can use the auto setting and still yield quality photography but you have the flexibility to also dial in the camera which is awesome! The built in zoom is amazing and when used properly gives some pretty expressive photo’s I would highly recommend this for everyone. Capturing family moments, traveling, a night out with friends, sports events, anything! It’s less invasive and won’t attract attention while out and about. Sure it’s pricey but I think I’m getting my money worth!

Quality Shots, Super Portable
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful little camera. Great for sports and action shots. Quality photos. Short battery life, however, so get an extra battery. Really fast. Freezes the action. I added a plastic grip because it's a bit slippery to hold onto otherwise. Pricey little thing.

Q: QuestionDoes this camera have an old fashioned view finder? I don't like using LED screens.
Asked by Statia.
- A:Answer Hi Statia, the camera does have pop up built in viewfinder (0.39-type electronic 2.36M-dot OLED Tru-Finder).

Q: QuestionDoes anyone know if Best Buy considers this a "mirrorless" camera in terms of returns. In other words, does a return of this camera incur the 15% restocking fee for DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. It would be great if a Best Buy employee could reply.
Asked by alhagar.
- A:Answer I recently returned a Sony RX100 V and was not charged a restocking fee. I was given a full refund. I'm a Best Buy Elite Plus member (not sure if that changes anything regarding restocking fees though).

Q: QuestionDoes this camera come with the handheld stick or is that purchased separately?
Asked by Erin.

Answered by SonyListens
Q: QuestionDoes it shoot raw photographs
Asked by Remi.
- A:Answer Yes. Also shoots 4K video and is super light. Expensive but very complete and easy to carry (I carry mine in my photographer's vest). Will work easily on almost any selfie stick so you can get creative. Can zoom in past wire fences at the zoo if you are closer to the wire. 1" sensor can take great photos. Get a couple of batteries - short life in cold weather.
