Q: Does it light up when plugged into an xbox controller?
A: Hey Sam, The RGB Illumination is powered through USB connection. Because the Xbox Controller only uses a 3.5mm connection, there is no way the controller can provide enough power for the RGB lighting.
A: It is compatible with the Xbox One. The box comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter to plug right up to the controller. However, you'll only be able to modify the RGB lighting and utilize DTS:X on a PC via the USB port.
A: Yes, the Arctis 7 is wireless. It also has a metal headband instead of plastic, and the ski goggle band is longer and wraps completely around the headset. The 7 also has inputs and outputs on the transmitter. The input lets you hook up something like a phone for wireless audio, and the output can be used to connect speakers, which switch automatically when you turn the headset on and off.
A: From what I understand the RGB will only work when used via the usb.
Q: When using this headset on Xbox One, does this have mic monitoring/voice feedback when talking?
A: It does not, unfortunately. It's also not surround sound on Xbox if that matters to you. It's still a very good headset with great build quality.
A: The steelseries software lets you control microphone sidetone (The ability to hear yourself). You can adjust the volume at which you hear yourself as well.
A: It's VERY bright and very red. Impossible to ignore in your peripheral vision. Very blinding, in my opinion.
Q: If you are using them for Xbox one, does it come with an adapter or is that separate?
A: The newer XBox ONE controllers don't need an adapter, as they have a 3.5mm headset connector built in. However if you are using an older controller you will need an adapter, as one is not included.
