Q: Is the image or video in color or is it white and black?
A: It is in color if there are lights on or its daylight. Nighttime image is black and white.
Q: Does this camera have audio to hear...?
A: This unit, out of the box, does not have audio. It does have 4 audio inputs, so you can attach a mike or up to 4 audio capable cameras, such as the SWANN 1080p Full HD Bullet with Audio & IR Night Vision - PRO-1080FLB. It has capability to output to one external speaker (purchased separately)...
Q: how much cable comes with each camera in feet
A: Each cable measures about 60 feet. There is a BNC on each end a 12v male on dvr end and a 12v female on camera end.
Q: At what resolution will this system record at 30fps?
A: If you want to record at 30FPS you would drop the recording resolution to 1080P (Full HD).
A: You can do both. The standard preview of the recordings is 4 but you can select how may you want to see. You can also select all of them and then double click on the one you're interested in and it will fill the window.
Q: How far can camera go from the control unit
A: They come with 60’ of cable per camera but you can buy extra 100’ rolls. I have added 100’ rolls to my 60’ rolls with no problems and on another setup but a different brand I have added two 100’ rolls and it’s over 250’ and it works fine
Q: does the set come with all cables shown?
A: Yes, this kit includes the cameras and the cables needed to install the system.
Q: 2-Way Audio?
A: No, no audio, unless you use a separate microphone (there's one audio input and one audio output on the back, RCA plus). The cameras themselves don't have microphones or speakers. However, there are several cameras on Bestbuy.com that DO have microphones that will work with this DVR. You'll only be able to use one camera with a microphone (there's only one audio input on the DVR) and the cameras that do have it are 1080P (they won't be as clear as the cameras that come with this kit). Look up SWPRO-1080FLB, SWPRO-1080ZLB, SWPRO-1080FLD, and SWPRO-1080ZLD. (I work for Swann by the way)
