I'm no stranger to Turtle Beach or their headphones. I've been using those headphones for what seems like a steady lifetime. And over the years they've been hit or miss, yet it has been on a consistent basis. However, over the past couple of years, I've found myself quite satisfied with what they've been bringing to the gamer'sphere. Especially with their wireless gear. And as for the wired gear, these Atlas 200 headphones are good. I won't beat around the bush there. They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even for glasses wearers, like myself. This is a huge plus, considering many of my gaming friends and family are eye glasses wearers, as well. The light-weight material doesn't really come off as cheap looking, but they don't compare to the wireless counterparts. The sound quality is pretty good, I would prefer if they were just a little louder for those times when I'm in a "I need to hear the footsteps" situations. But for the single player, "let's keep it down, people are sleeping" moments, these come through in a pinch. The 50mm drivers with soft memory-foam cups feel so cozy on my ears. The only draw-back is when it's hot in the room. Expect sweat. When it comes to the headband. There's a mesh coveing over the top and the floating headbands. That helps to keep my sweaty cranium from getting the top all stank. The folding mute feature is still alive and well, and the boom mic is bendible to get the right angle to face ratio. The mic sound is serviceable, so it does its job. My only real complaint is the length of the cord. While this is a really good length for console gamers who plug their head gear into the controller or even the Switch system, this is a total fail for desktop PC gamers. Laptop gamers should have no problems at all, here. That's why I have to give these such a high score. They simply do their job. And their not bad to look at on the skull either. Not to mention, how affordable they are. Pick 'em up.

I’ve been gaming with the Atlas 200 by Turtle Beach for about a week now and I’d like to share my thoughts. Soon as I opened the box I was quite impressed with the look and design of this headset. They look more premium than they actually are though. For the most part, the headset is plastic. With some soft and comfortable mesh fabric over the elastic band on the headset. The pads on the earcups are comfortable and feel like soft pillows. It feels like memory foam. They fit nice and comfortably over my ears without causing any fatigue or discomfort on long game sessions. The headset is very light for its size. The microphone boom will mute when retracted. The microphone has a small piece of foam to dampen unwanted noise. It does a good job, and my friends all said I sounded nice and clear. Sound quality is good. Not the best I’ve ever used, but good enough. I was expecting a little more bass (oomf) since the cups are so large. Overall, I would say they are fairly balanced. Explosions and gunfire have a nice thud. Footsteps and little sounds that I normally wouldn’t notice with the tv speakers make the gaming experience more immersive. There isn’t many controls on this headset, just a volume rocker on the left ear cup. The wire is fixed on the ear cup and can’t be removed. All in all, I would say that this is a pretty basic headset, with good sound and microphone quality. Would I recommend it? Sure, maybe for the kiddos who can’t be bothered with EQ controls or other settings. Or for anyone just wanting a basic and easy to use headset. If you want a premium sound and build, with a lot of control. I would look elsewhere.
