A: I purchased the keyboard for the Suface 3 and it works perfectly on my Surface Pro. I believe my Surface Pro type keyboard would work with the Surface 3, but I would suggest getting the Surface 3 keyboard instead. Much better tactile feel and touchpad is much better. Also, it will fit properly while the keyboard for the Surface will not full cover the screen of the Surface 3
