Good movie in black and white
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI have Purple Rain, and had to add this one as well. Due to the era this movie was set in, black & white was the best way to go.

Only a Prince fan could love
|Posted .Okay let's be clear this was a very risky move by Prince, coming off the success of Purple Rain this was a follow up directorial debut of Prince. It was shot in Black & White and starts off fun but lags toward the end. I enjoyed this movie for two reasons the music and the back and forth banter between Prince and Jerome(from The Time). It is also the big screen debut of Kristin Scott Thomas(The English Patient). If you looking for a movie that is a great romantic drama this is not it, but if you are a Prince fan and are nostalgic for some his greatest music then this is a treat.

Prince Noir
|Posted .Prince directed this black & white love story. Prince plays Christopher Tracy a gigolo on the French Riviera for rich cougar divorcees. He discovers a young girl played by Kristin Scott Thomas about to receive her inheritance. Christopher and Tricky (played by Jerome Benton) try to beat the other in winning her heart. Funny thing happens is Christopher truly falls in love with her. Her father does not like Christopher and opposes their love. How does it end? Purchase it and find out. Yet another must have for any Prince fan!

A great music video of a movie
|Posted .Prince returns to the silver screen in his second movie. While it does not have the impact of his debut in "Purple Rain", the music in this movie pulls the film along to its conclusion. The story itself is somewhat weak, but was entertaining nonetheless. The highlight for me, as it would be for the follow-up "Under the Graffiti Bridge" is the music. Taken as one long music video promoting the "Parade" album, this movie is fantastic. Recommended and essential for any Prince fan out there like myself.

Prince Returns Under The Moon
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendPrince returns in his second musical feature Under the Cherry Moon. In this film Prince stars as a gigolo type singer who pursues a debutante played by Kristin Scott Thomas. The film also features Jerome Benton, and Morris Day and The Time writers of The Bird and Jungle Love. A decent musical/dramatic film. This one also came in purple packaging and was for my girlfriend for Christmas last year.

Prince is the King!
|Posted .I searched everywhere for this movie and Best Buy had it New for far less than a used copy costs! I had it shipped standard delivery because the movie was on backorder and I still received it well ahead of the maximum delivery date. The acting is terrible but the music is awesome! Prince is a truly a legend and Jerome is hilarious as always!
