A Verizon exclusive, Palm revolutionizes the way you connect with the world around you. Boasting an ultra-compact design, this Android device offers a premium mobile experience in a package about the size of a credit card, going places your smartphone can't. Clip it to your armband. Slip into a fashionable wallet case. Or show it off with a fancy wristlet. The Palm is small in size but huge on style.
Q: Can the Palm Smartphone be used as a stand alone phone with it's own #?
A: I bought one in August 2019 and yes it works as a standalone phone.
A: The best answer is yes, and no...let me explain. The device works as a connected device like how an LTE enabled smartwatch works on your account. The device will technically have it's own phone number assigned to it, however for all cellular communications it will share your primary phone number. Verizon's term for this is "number sharing." You don't have to get a totally separate line, per se, but you will have to pay a $10/month line access fee, just as you would with an LTE enabled smartwatch. All that being said, I do not recommend this device and I suggest you read my review regarding why I returned the device within five days of purchasing it.
A: 1. Yes, it receives group text messages just like my main phone. 2. Yes, but you may need to use the Verizon Messages texting app on your main phone for text messages work correctly. (I'm not sure how well it works with iMessage.) 3. It's easy. Calls ring to both phones and text messages appear on both phones. I switch between phones multiple times a day, and it's as easy as picking up the phone I want to use at that moment. You can leave the main phone at home and the Palm will happily work on its own.
Q: Would this work with t mobile?
A: The phone is locked to Verizon for 60 days, but after that 60 day period Verizon unlocks their devices. I recently got a used one and even though it says Verizon on startup, it works with my TMobile sim card.
A: This device was not worth the money that I spent on it. It only stays charged for two hours of use. This is a real let down.
Q: Could it be used as a prepaid phone..?
A: Yes, if you buy the Stand-alone version for Palm phone. Check their website.
