It's decent, but still protection at least.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went in to buy a nice alarm for my vehicle. I decided on this one, because the features seemed nice. Now that I have had it installed, it really is no different from the cheaper models for the most part. The distance is no where near as advertised, unless I was maybe in the middle of nowhere with nothing but flat land, even then, I have my doubts. I have had instances where I can be right next to my car, push the arm button, and it beep my remote saying there was an error. I had it switched to auto-arm now since I felt I could not depend on it to set correctly at all times. It is supposed to have up to 2 miles of communication, yet when I park in my parking structure at work, I can be 100 feet away, and it wont make connection.

Awesome Security System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is great on my car. I didn't have key-less entry to begin with, so this purchase was worth it just for that almost. I am planning on having my car at school so I wanted the extra assurance that it was still okay. The ability for the remote to tell you if someone broke into your car and if the doors are locked is great! The range is well over 1000 ft in open land. However, there are a few minor things that annoyed me. I was going to bring my car back to Best Buy because I was having problems with the car thinking that the trunk was popped when disarming or that the shock sensor had been set off. Luckily these problems fixed themselves randomly, but it was still worrying. Another problem is that I've had is that sometimes when trying to arm/disarm the system, I press the button and it says that the car is out of range. Even though I am standing right next to it. But I know the range is good, because it normally works fine. The only other thing that I don't like is that the siren isn't very loud. If you're right next to it, it is ear-piercing, but if you're inside a house with the car parked at the end of the drive, then it isn't very noticeable. The main point of the alarm is to scare off the thief though so it will definitely do that.

Pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After buying a truck with a chip display that doesn't come down from the dash,& installing a new radio, etc, I wanted to up the protection on it. So I got this, I like the key fob that alerts you if any sensor goes off,& where on the truck it happened, which I learned after a very large cat jumped on the roof & set it off, lol. The only issue I've had is about 4 days after it was installed(which was done by the store) I went into a store, came back out,& my doors wouldn't unlock, it said they were unlocked & it beeped & all that, but nothing happened. I locked & unlocked it a few times to see if it would catch, but still nothing. I ended up having to use my door key to get in(which set the alarm off, so embarrassing! Lol) cause the alarm system doesn't recognize the door key or factory alarm. Thankfully after putting key in ignition, alarm shut off. It never happened again,& the guy at the installation department said occasionally there can be interference that can cause it to not work quite right. I do wish I'd have gone with the next step up that had the auto start option, but too late now :)

Best product for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very satisfied with this alarm system, I did a lot of research and decided on the Viper systems. Only a couple of hundred dollars gives me great protection over the entire car, windows up or down, and also the trunk area. This model has fewer options/functions since I have an older Honda with a manual transmission, all other models offer some pretty awesome features. I will definitely use this brand for my newer cars.

Awesome alarm
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My car was broken in to so I picked up the Viper. If anything it may be a little too sensitive (it's a good thing) serious thunder can set it off. The range is amazing. The fob works even with commercial ovens and freezers (and cinder block) between it and the alarm

Top Of The Line
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this alarm as a replacement for the garbage system that was in already. I really upgraded the stereo with a Nakamichi CD-400 and Focal top of the line Speakers with Phoenix Gold Titanium amps so I really need supreme protection. I did a lot of research and chose the Viper 2 channel for my needs. This system has all the bells and whistles and I love the remote control that shows you on the screen if your door is ajar on just not locked. I love them fact that it will work up to 1500 feet and chirp you if someone is messing with the truck. In the end spend some extra cash because being cheap will cost you. For what I paid it also included installation and a clean installation.

Great base alarm system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, price but having installation at best but requires too much of a hassle through their staff. Regardless of their incompetence the product itself is great.
