VIZIO - M-Series 2.1 Channel All-in-One Sound Bar System - Dark Charcoal

The Vizio M21d-H8 soundbar packs in a plethora of features and good sound quality all for a good price. This sound bar is a 2.1 configuration and features 6 speakers (2 speakers, 2 tweeters & 2 subwoofers). Other features include HDMI in/out for an ARC connection with 4k HDR passthrough, Dolby DTS Virtual X, DTS digital surround, DTS TrueVolume, Dolby Audio, Bluetooth, Voice Assistant, Aux, Optical Audio and IR remote control learning so you can use your tv remote to raise and lower the soundbar volume. Also included was one hdmi cable, an optical audio cable, an aux cable, a rca to aux cable, remote with batteries and a mounting diagram with wall mounting slide on holders. When you first power on the soundbar it enters pairing mode which allows you to pair a bluetooth device to the sound bar; however, you must then switch the input on the soundbar to "Bluetooth" to actually stream the audio from your device even if it shows as connected on your device. The sound from the Vizio M21-H8 was clear, the bass was deep enough and the speakers got plenty loud for my viewing area of 11ft x 13ft. The small rubber feet on the bottom of the soundbar give just enough room for the bottom firing subwoofers to work their magic. The sleek design lets it disappear in darker setups as it's hard to make out the lines which I did like very much. Overall I'm very satisfied with the M21d-H8 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good soundbar that doesn't break the bank.

After owning a custom 5.1 audio speaker system and wanting to get something for my other living room setup, this soundbar definitely looks nice and performs well. Supporting ARC, having multiple speakers within the soundbar, and a minimalist look are what makes this soundbar a relatively easy purchase for soundbar users or those who don't want to spend a lot on good audio hardware. It does come with its own caveats though. No dedicated subwoofer, no panel displaying current EQ selection nor volume level number are a few of non-features users like myself might not like. SETUP Upon opening the box, I particularly liked how Vizio packaged all of the necessary cables needed for whichever audio option I decided to go with. Component, HDMI, and digital optical cables were provided. As far as the setup goes, it was as streamlined as could be. It took only a few minutes to have it fully setup and ready to try it out on our favorite movie. Using the ARC input on the soundbar and output on my TV, the soundbar seamlessly operates with my TV when I turn it on and off. Nice feature to have! LOOKS This speaker has a modern minimalistic look with cloth that wraps around the top and sides. There are no cables that stick out, and since it does not have a display, I think it definitely completes that modern look minimalists are striving for. Buttons with tactile touch are on one end of the speaker for power, input, and volume control as well. AUDIO QUALITY With the typical higher end systems, manufacturers include a dedicated subwoofer. The Vizio M series soundbar does not have an external subwoofer but instead, it has one internally in the soundbar. I found it lacking in bass while watching movies. I personally missed the room thundering with sound although this is a soundbar and is more for those whom would like good sound with a minimalistic setup. After taking this into consideration, the clarity from the speaker is absolutely astonishing. I've previously owned different soundbars but the way Vizio combined the array of speakers really does make the sound appear as it comes from all directions. Overall, if you're looking into soundbars or would like an audio system that doesn't take too much space, do not pass up on trying Vizio's M series soundbar. Audio clarity, simplicity, and modern look are what makes this soundbar a nice pick.

Great compact sound bar. Needed a sound bar without the traditional subwoofer. This vizio fits the bill. I mounted it outside under my gazebo. Really nice sound. It gets very loud. Bluetooth, optical,hdmi options, etc.... Really nice price.... Have gotten many compliments on this sound bar. Great purchase!!

Excellent value and product works great! Now just waiting on the after Christmas sales...

Great sound. Got this for my TV Cart. It was a little tricky to get ARC to work with my Android TV. After some research I found out you have to power off another devices (cable & Xbox) until it is set up.

Nice sound, the bass is excellent and you don't need an external sub-woofer, you save more space ...

I bought this as an open box purchase. I’m very happy with the full rich and warm sound. I have it hooked up to my 55’ M8 via HDMI-ARC. I don’t care for the dialogue setting as it sounds harsh and tinny. I set it to Game, VirtualX, and TruVolume. And I adjusted the Bass and Treble to 3/4. I would recommend either raising or mounting the sound bar for airflow as the center right side gets hot.
