A: Hello Snappy, Please be informed that My Cloud EX2 ultra is an user serviceable device. You could change the internal drives of the device by yourself. If you want to mirror the drives then please configure the device to RAID 1 configuration so that if one drive fails then the data is protected in the other drive. Q: Can this drive be used to work on documents or is it primarily for storage?
A: From a Windows and Mac perspective, once configured and a share is setup you can view it in File Explorer/Finder... and work from it like any other local hard drive including opening, editing and saving documents to it.
Q: Is the weight really 83.2 pounds?
A: No. Not sure where that number came from but it is a couple of pounds at best
