A friend of mine got this dishwasher about 3 months before me and could not stop talking about how amazing it was. I thought maybe she'd lost her mind because I've never heard someone so excited about a dishwasher.
Then, my old dishwasher broke, so I took my friend's recommendation and got this Whirlpool dishwasher. I also read reviews across multiple websites (just in case my friend had lost her mind) and it received high-rated reviews everywhere.
Now, I'm "that friend"! I love my dishwasher:
1. The racks are perfect, with dividers that truly keep glasses, mugs and dishes from clanking against each other. The top rack can be raised or lowered if needed. There's a smaller top rack for cooking utensils or other items that may not otherwise have a place. The main utensil holders have separators that help keep space between the items so they get washed thoroughly. You can also use it without the utensil separator
2. The dishwasher is QUIET. After the Geek Squad installed it, they ran a test cycle and I didn't hear it (I was sitting in the adjacent dining room).
3. It does a terrific job -- dishes are spotless, and no streaks
4. Several cycle modes, including Sani-Wash, quick mode, and sensor mode
The dishwasher works great but the directions to install were confusing and poorly written. No top, side, front, back etc. and the final clip installation to secure the dishwasher impossible to figure out. By the way, I have installed 3 previous dishwashers and none of those installations were difficult. They need someone who knows how to write better install directions.
This dishwasher runs fairly quite, it is mostly stainless steel inside, which is nice. It does a good job of cleaning dishes, no complaints, though I am not one to put dishes in the dishwasher without rinsing off any heavy debris. The fit was just fine as it was the same dimensions as the one it replaced. I did like the front panel controls option as the top control type dishwashers are not that easy to see in my installation, and Whirlpool made the control settings and cycle lights look nice and simple. The top 3rd rack, (actually a small pull out drawer type rack) I didn't think was going to be useful actually comes in handy. Overall a pretty good dishwasher at a somewhat reasonable price. I thought the price was a little high but after researching I guess it was kind of inline with other retail stores and brands. Not a great price but not ridiculously expensive either.
Had the order dropped, and off and decided to install myself (I'm no plumber or handyman), due to Covid quarantine. Very easy to install, and very runs very quietly. Plenty, of space, and top shelf is very convenient. So far, so good!
Got this to replace my old one, very quiet, love the 3rd rack. Dishes come out clean and dry. I use the drying agent and my glasses never looked better. I have used all the settings and I am very happy with me purchase
This dishwasher does a good job cleaning and drying the dishes. It's not as quiet as our previous dishwasher, but it does a far better job at cleaning, and especially drying. No towel needed with this one.
A:AnswerI don't believe it does. It has two filters that they recommend rinsing every month or two, but nothing about any sort of grinder or disposal.
Since I'm here, a couple of things I've noticed . . . it's a nice machine . . . very quiet. I'm still exploring the various cycles but the dishes come out clean and, especially when you add the extra heated drying, dry. So far, my only complaints are that there doesn't seem to be a "rinse" cycle, something that spends 5-10 minutes spraying down dishes that you might want to leave in the machine 'til it's full. The other complaint, and I've never seen this mentioned anywhere else so it might just be me, is that when the cycle is completely finished, and I go to use a clean dish/utensil, I can still smell a bit of the detergent. On a couple of occasions, I felt I had to rinse off some silverware so that I didn't taste/smell the leftover soap. I noticed it with the "Finish" pods that I used from the start but notice it more with the Costco pods that I'm using 'til they're gone. i'll definitely experiment with different brands to see if that helps. This is subtle and, like I said, I've never seen or heard anyone else mention this is a review.
All right . . WAY more information than you asked for but, oh well.
A:AnswerThe third rack is removable and the middle rack is adjustable. I personally put glasses on the bottom if I am using the third rack. The middle rack also is easily removable. Lots of ways to load this dishwasher. I've been very impressed with its features at it's price point.
A:AnswerHello DishwasherMom! If you are not hard-wiring, you would need to purchase a power cord. We recommend a power cord kit. The Kit typically includes power cord, metallic strain relief, grommet, and twist-on wire connectors. (Whirlpool Part Number 4317824). Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.
