Q: Can this be connected far away from the outdoor antenna?
A: The outdoor amplifier piece needs to be installed as close to the antenna as possible. The power inserter needs to be inside but can be taken outside to aid in pointing with the Bluetooth features.
Q: Will this work on a travel trailer winegard antenna?
A: It should if the antenna has RF connector. Placing it as close to the antenna as possible for better reception.
Q: how do I hook this up to my outdoor antenna?
A: The black box connects with a short coax cable to the antenna. The other port connects the black box to the cable into the house. The ports are labeled. The white box connects to the cable coming inside the house and to the cable connecting to the TV. The ports are labeled. The white box has a USB port to get power from a USB cable power module plugged into a wall outlet. Power is sent to the black box over the coax cable. The black box needs to be close to the antenna for max benefit.
A: It has a USB wall adapter that powers it.
A: 20db max gain
Q: Will this work with my current antenna a Antennas Direct Carol Stream 4 max ?
A: You bet, used with any non amplified outdoor antenna as needed.
A: It would be better to change the antenna your truck uses for a better one. You won't get any improvement from added amplification with a short coax run such as yours. Winegard offers some good mobile antennas designed for this.
Q: Does this filter out above 600Mhz and FM interference?
A: I don't know about that but it really didn't help me that much just saying.
