A: You can view live footage at any time, but it also has capabilities of sending motion detector alerts to your device.
A: These cameras are fantastic!. You can use multiples and view them over many devices. You can use them with cellphones, tablets computers etc Also, I needed help initially and their customer service is fantastic!!! They offer online chat ànd I was actually able to do do an online support after hours!!
A: Hi, good question. Later this spring we will be launching a cloud service that this camera is specifically designed to pair with that one could to subscribe to, to record and store footage. If you already own a Zmodo NVR, you could record to that device. (Note: we don't sell NVRs buy themselves right now, only in a kit). So until the cloud service is launched, there is not a way to record just yet, but that is reflected in the very inexpensive price point right now.
A: The camera does not come with a battery. It will have to be plugged into an outlet while operating.
Q: Is the camera capable of taking still pictures?
A: Yes you can take still pictures within the app. There is a feature once you open the app, just hit the camera icon and it will snap a picture.
Q: Will it alert every time there is motion.
A: It definitely alerts every time there is motion, and the alert is almost instantaneous. I have not had any issues of any sort.
Q: if i unplug the wifi or turn it off will i get a notification? or it'll just turn off ?
A: This camera does require an internet connection to receive notifications. It will work on a 3G/4G connection.
Q: Is there a plan that must be purchased or a fee involved?
A: No fees. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and there have been no costs. There is a "cloud" storage option that is not yet available for this model but they say it is coming soon. If you want to pay for that you can, but I have found that it's not needed for my usage. The camera will keep a weeks worth of alert photos and then start overwriting the oldest. That has been fine for me. Also, with the Zmodo app on my smartphone I can look in at live video anytime. Been working great.
