Q: Can this be used with Xfinity internet provider to replace the Xfinity Wi-Fi equipment
A: Nest Wifi works with most modems and internet service providers, including Xfinity. You can connect Nest Wifi directly to your modem with the Ethernet cable to set it up and broadcast your Wi-Fi network. If your modem is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of the combo or putting it in Bridge mode to avoid Double NAT as it may cause connectivity issues. A: Absolutely! All Nest Wifi and Google Wifi (2016 and 2020 models) devices are compatible to create a mesh system. You can simply add additional Wifi points to your existing Nest Wifi mesh system. We recommend a maximum of 6 Wifi points in a single mesh setup including the primary router. For an estimate of how much Wi-Fi coverage you’ll get with Nest and Google Wifi, and a guide to how many Wifi points you need check here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7182840
A: Hey there, Rijo! Thanks for your inquiry! The Nest Wifi router can be combined with more Nest Wifi routers as well as with Nest Wifi and Google Wifi points to provide coverage. They don’t need to be physically wired together with Ethernet cables. However, if you prefer to connect directly to your Nest Wifi router, you can chain multiple Nest Wifi routers (and/or multiple Google Wifi points) together. You can also connect devices like a computer or TV directly into the LAN port of your Google Nest Wifi router. Check this link to learn more: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7215624
Q: Would this be compatible with a Verizon wifi hotspot?
A: undefined
Q: Does this google nest wifi have speaker built in to lesson to music or to link with tv sound.
A: No, it doesn’t. You might want to check for the Nest Wifi point that has a speaker with Google Assistant, since the Nest Wifi router doesn’t have one. Find out more about the technical specs of different Wifi devices here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6280668
A: I bought a second Nest router to do exactly what you are looking for. I installed the second one next to the indoor garage door, and now I have a strong signal in my driveway.
A: It is not designed to be outdoors so even if it doesn’t get wet from rain, humidity may eventually damage it. You may want to consider an enclosure for it.
Q: What kind of warranty is included with this?
A: Nest Wifi is covered by a 1-year limited warranty. For further assistance, reach out to our support team here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
