An exceptional TV. I have owned an OLED TV, a QD-OLED TV, and another, technologically inferior, Mini-LED TV. This thing is a beast and in a league of its own. Sure, the contrast will not be as detailed as on an OLED panel, but it surely is no slouch in that regard. It’s a very rich, vibrant, and detailed picture - and while I don’t necessarily think it can be “mistaken for OLED” as people have claimed, it certainly has its “own” image. It’s more “cinematic” than realistic, to an extent. This thing is also a light canon. It can get BRIGHT. Sometimes uncomfortably bright, but in a good way. If that characters on screen are having to shield their eyes from a bright source, you likely will feel the need to do so as well. It’s very immersive. The HDR impact you get from the brightness is something OLED can’t showcase - although the line does draw closer with each generation. Then again, with increased brightness from Mini-LED generations, the gap yet again widens. If you love to game, this tv is right for you. If you love shows, this tv is right for you. If you love movies, this tv is right for you. This is the perfect TV as it will satisfy all variety of consumers. You won’t regret buying this, buy once, cry once. Pictures don’t do this image justice. You gotta see it to really understand. 4000 nits is a sight to behold.

This is an awesome miniLED TV that can go toe to toe with OLED juggernauts like the LG G4 or Samsung S95D. Here is how I would rate it in different areas Picture Quality 10/10 Brightness 9/10 Reflection Handling 8/10 TV sound 7.5/10 The only complaint I have is that the TV only has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports , one of which is the eARC port. Although not an issue for me personally, but i can see how this might be a problem for some and to be honest, at this price point, Sony needs to do better.

Spent a lot of back and forth reviewing my life choices and whether or not this purchase decision was going to be one of the greatest decisions I've made on this earth and I'm glad to report that it made the list. This TV PQ is worlds ahead from what I used to have hung up on the wall before. Never in the last 20 years have I ever had to squint during bright scenes but this TV made it seem like the sun had entered the room via a window that didnt exist. Google integration in the TV makes it a joy to use, especially google voice commands. The bravia app on iOS works great when you lose the mini remote between the canyon cracks of the sofa. It is on the more expensive side, but given the current deals at the time, I was able to get a free coffee machine from the $ rewards, so double win.

After waiting for almost a year after i read the press release on the Bravia 9, I finally have one in 85". This is an excellent, well made television and probably the pinnacle of what Lcd is capable of. Very bright and detailed image within is best dusplayed in professional or cinema modes. The Google operating system can be finicky during initial setup, but is easily fixed by a quick reset whuch can be done from the back-lit remote. I have played with the tvs built-in speakers, and find them to be amazing. The volume and clarity is reminiscent of the Sony Wega models back when tv's had real speakers. Wasted feature since my Bravia is being added to a Dolby Atmos home theater. As good as the Bravia 9 is with its bright bold picture, its still probably 94 - 95% of Oled image quality. Regardless, this mini-led looks great and should outlast all oleds without the fear of burn-in or dimming pixels.
