Q: What are the actual dimensions and does it do email and/or texting?
A: The device is not intended to be a general purpose computing or communications device. That being said, it has a simple web browser that can do a modest job displaying web sites, and it *may* be possible to send email if your email service offers a web-based interface. However, that function is NOT an advertised capability of the device and you should not purchase it expecting to be able to do so.
Q: Is this the ad-free version (or does it have ads)?
A: It depends on which one you buy, but either way I believe you can pay Amazon to have tha ads removed. The ads only appear when you first turn it on, not while you are reading. To me it wasn't worth the extra money to turn them off.
Q: Is this a non-touch screen ereader?
A: It's both. There are buttons on the right side to advance or go back as well as the screen accepts touch.
A: Contact BestBuy directly or using the tracking information they gave you in your confirmation email to see what happened to this item. We pre-ordered it on 10-25 and received it on 10/31. Is it possible that it was delivered and someone removed from your mailbox? If you have not gotten an email with tracking information, contact the phone number on the order confirmation email and inquire with them that way. If they say it was shipped and delivered, let them know you never received it and they will have to re-ship. In that case I'd ask it to be shipped to your local store and pick it up there. Good Luck! I really like the 32gb model.
Q: How much space does an Audible file take up?
A: It varies depending the length of the book and the quality that you download it at.
A: I got mine with ads included. For the non-ad version, I believe you need to order customized from Amazon.
