Q: Does this item include the "special offers" on the home screen?
A: No, this SKU doesn't have special offers and, if memory serves correctly, Amazon doesn't even offer the 32 gb 3g version with special offers.
A: You DO NOT need wifi to download books if it has the cellular.
A: If you have a cellular provider local to the area you are in, it will work. No, it does not have a web browser.
Q: Does this have internet access?
A: Technically yes, it has an experimental browser that can access the internet. It also has the ability to download your books and audiobooks on the go wether with LTE or with Wifi. It's nice and works well. But if you want to load up youtube or Facebook, the internet on this isn't really good for that. Plus it has no speaker it is bluetooth to headphones for the audiobooks. At the end of the day this Kindle is for reading and listening to books and that's it. I hope this helps! I love mine!
Q: What is the difference between the Kindle $349 oasis and the $279 oasis?
A: The $349 Oasis has free cellular data for downloading books and the $279 one does not. Also, the $349 Oasis doesn't come with Special Offers, whereas the $279 one does.
Q: Any idea when this will be in stock?

A: The Voyage is a more "traditional" design which is an ambidextrous uniform rectangle, similar to a "candybar" style cell phone. All the components are evenly distributed across the entire device. The Oasis is more "lopsided" with the battery and everything else all on one side of the device. The Voyage and all non-Oasis Kindles are designed to be held with both hands at more or less all times. The Oasis is designed more with one-handed reading in mind with all the weight on one side. The Oasis also has a 7" screen instead of 6" on the Voyage. This means you can fit more text on any given screen, but also means the Oasis may not fit comfortably in pants or coat pockets. Other differences are that the Voyage has two sets of page turn "buttons" that are really just pressure sensitive areas on the bezel. One of the biggest oversights on the Voyage is that those buttons are not backlit, so if you're reading at night, good luck trying to find them. The Oasis has one set of buttons and depending on if you're a lefty or righty, you just flip the device around. There's an accelerometer and gyroscope in the Oasis that will orient the screen and buttons accordingly. The Oasis has the ability to do text-to-speech via bluetooth, while the Voyage does not, and the Voyage only has 4GB of storage where the Oasis has 8 or 32GB. Unless you listen to audiobooks, this likely won't be an issue. The Oasis is waterproof to where it can survive being accidentally dropped in a sink or bathtub, the Voyage is not. Being waterproof the Oasis should also be dust proof, so very little chance of getting a mote of dust under the glass covering the display. The Oasis also has a faster processor which includes some new tech for really speeding up page turns and other interactions with the display, so it gets rid of a lot of the e-ink's characteristic delay between when you press a button and you see the results on the screen. It also reduces the number of times you need to refresh the screen to get rid of ghosting from past pages. Software wise, the two are almost identical and run essentially the exact same firmware. After many years, Amazon has finally addressed the issue with font sizes where it always seemed like one size was too small and the next one up was too big. You now have around twice as many choices as before, and can adjust the boldness of fonts. With the latest firmware you can even add your own fonts without having to jailbreak it first. You're not going to go too wrong with either device, so it's a matter of whether features like bluetooth text-to-speech, waterproofing, a larger display, and faster page turns are worth the extra money to you.
