What Anime Fans Have Been Waiting For
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Batman Ninja was a Japanese only, original anime that took anime community and Batman fans by storm. There were a couple animated shorts made that just made this full length feature that much more enticing. The idea of Japanese artists putting their flavor on the Dark Knight genre is a dream come true. Look, I'm not going to spend your time giving you the history of anime nerd life. ( Some other time..promise.) If you love Batman animations and are the slightest of anime fan, this is a must have. Now I will say that as with traditional Ninja Scroll types, this feature is not for kids. Use your own discretion when viewing this with your friends and family. It's edgy. I don't think there is any nudity, but there are definitely sexual undertones and adult language is very much present. I honestly believe every Batman fan should have this in their library.

Excellent movie for anime and batman fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really skeptical about buying this movie cause i wasn't sure about it cause it was an anime adaptation to the batman series but i would have to say that this was probably my favorite animated batman movie to bad it wasn't a series but its also good its not cause it didn't have a chance to get ruined by fans trying to draw it out forever.

Really interesting take on the Batman world
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic animation, great use of characters, very unique Batman story. Batman is no stranger to the anime style (as seen in "Batman: Gotham Knight"), but this is definitely an anime story. Even if you're not an anime fan, if you love Batman, you should check this out. A super fun story! My only critique... Robin's hair! :)

The Warrior-Bat

A unique vision of the Dark Knight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I saw a trailer for it on another disc and was fascinated by what I saw. After watching it (in the default English language version), I was a little disappointed by the more outlandish and over-the-top elements. Then I gave it another try with the Japanese language version and it was an entirely different experience and a big improvement. It just worked better in Japanese with its more lyrical dialog. The A/V quality is great. The visuals of this film are what got me to blind buy it and the disc did not disappoint. There is a fair amount of bonus features as well including the Japanese language version. If you are a Batman fan, a fan of animation, a fan of anime, or all of the above, this movie is worth your time.

Over-the-top Batman Action!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one wild ride! It is a Batman anime. And they throw in everything and the kitchen sink from mech to samurais. At times, I absolutely loved it. At other times, I was wondering why they had thrown in things that didn't seem to fit (like the mech). But then, if you watch the special features you find out that there were different creators who contributed their visions, which explains why. The one director/writer was surprised by the addition of some things to the film. It is still quite a ride. I do recommend it. The style may be a bit jarring for some, but there is a lot here to enjoy. Best Buy had this on sale for under $10 on Blu-ray, which was too good to pass up.

It's Anime Batman
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon the announcement that Batman Ninja is being produced, with character designs by the same who made Afro Samurai, it got my attention. From there, it was patiently waiting for its release. It did not disappoint. The story, character design, among other things, all felt like straight out of your action-oriented anime. And rightfully so. Elements from the anime genre are sprinkled throughout the movie, making this not a movie named Batman Ninja but Anime Batman. That isn't to say that's a bad thing. In fact, it's a welcome change given the numerous Batman movie animations we've been graced with for many years. And here are some interesting bullet points for the Japanese side. If you do not know them, do not worry. You'll know them soon enough. Character design by Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) Directed by Junpei Mizusaki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) Screenplay by Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann) Rie Kugimiya as Harley Quinn If you've seen any anime titles, action-oriented or any of the aforementioned, this won't disappoint. And if you're a Batman fan in general, don't take this movie seriously. Do I recommend it? Yep. But maybe that's because I'm biased as an anime fan.

Finally, A Well Drawn WB Animated Film!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I get suckered into getting these DC Comics animated movies every once in a while and I usually regret it because the animation is horrible. Some of them are so poorly drawn that I can't make it through the first five minutes. This Batman cartoon, however, is the exception to that rule. It's a WB Animated feature that actually looks good! I took one star off for a goofy resolution to the story, but the animation made this movie worth seeing.
