Great Bat Family Adventure for all ages
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DC's direct-to-video animated movies have been excellent, adhering close to the comics but perhaps a bit too violent for the younger set. Enter Batman Unlimited, a series of original movies based in their own continuity and aimed at more general audiences. Monster Mayhem is the second in the series. Although you don't need to watch the first, it might be helpful; the robotic dogs are explained there. At any rate, this adventure brings together Batman, Nightwing, Red Robin, and Green Arrow against an assortment of monster-themed villains in a full-length movie. Bat-fans and those eager to see more screen time for Nightwing and Red Robin will appreciate this well-crafted tale.

I got this movie for my kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bluray case cover is slightly deceiving, my kids and I expected to see Batman riding robot T-Rex's but wasnt until the near end. As matter of fact the movie has nothing to do with robot dinosaurs. But it does have Batman, Robin, Joker, Green Arrow and a bunch of other DC heroes and villains which my kids are really into. Movie is good for kids, but would be kind of tough to sit through and actually watch for adults/parents. It's not like other DC animated movies that are actually really good and are kind of adult themed (Wonder Woman, Flashpoint to name a couple). I would recommend this to friends but my friends who have kids and are into Batman.

Fun for kids... not so much adults
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The second entry in the Batman Unlimited series, Monster Mayhem, is, if nothing else, a well animated entry. Sadly, there's not a whole lot of other positive things to say. Make no mistake, this isn't a bad film. It's just that the movie is targeted strictly at kids and seems to make no effort to attract adults. That's not a bad thing, but it's a shame no effort was made to try and reach a wider audience. Between this film series being strictly for kids and the thrice annual DC Universe animated movies which are targeted at teens and adults, there's little in terms of DC animation that appeals to all ages. The bonus features are a nice treat, however. Like the first movie, this release has a selection of DC Nation animated shorts. Notably, the Green Arrow shorts are here along with others including Animal Man and a great Riddler short. There's also the standard video feature (this one on the look of Gotham City and the visual cues taken from Batman Beyond), along with a bonus episode of Batman the Brave and the Bold, and some trailers. All in all, the movie is worth it to add more DC Nation shorts to your collection. I know that's why I bought this and Animal Instincts. It sure wasn't for the movie.

Batman for kids!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a Halloween themed batman movie, it is direct to video and aimed for a younger audience. My kids enjoyed this movie ages 4, 6, and 8. Aimed for boys and girls as Harley Quinn played a large role in this movie. This is the second Batman Unlimited Movie, with the first being Animal Instincts.

Awesome! Troy baker is awesome!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Watch as troy baker does his best mark hammell of mark hammell voicing the joker. Very kid friendly animation with adult dialogue. Not adult as in profanity but adult as in complex storylines, it respects children's intelligence rather than dumbing down a fun story. Fun for everyone!

Bat-Man at his best.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a sequel of sorts to Batman Unlimited Animal Instincts but does act as a stand alone movie. You will appreciate it more if see Animal Instincts first (for example the origins of Batmans cyber wolf motorcycle). Its a movie I'm glad to have in my library.

DCAU works magic
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting this between BTAS and BB was a great idea. Linking them helped viewers see the bridge between them. And bringing a lot of the classic Batman villains was great.
