So far, so good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Four speeds for fan; high speed is pretty loud but good suction for smoky cooking. Low speed is quiet.

Poor quality control and workmanship
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.poor quality, poorest customer service ever. Was promised a replacement would be shipped out. Then called to check on status and was told it was not in production and could not be replaced. I then ordered one from Lowes and it came in 10 days later.

This hood really Sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well built with simple features that are all you need. Four speeds with the the lowest being very quiet and the highest being loud but very effective if needed. Most of the time you don't need to use the highest setting the lowest and the next setting are sufficient and really have the sucking power needed eliminate excess heat and cooking smells and still have a conversation Lights are very effective. The three settings are also all you need. Lights can be reduced to 35w halogen if the 50w are to bright. Love the unit

I like it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've researched this range hood, you've probably seen comments about the range hood not always turning off when you push the buttons to turn it off. Apparently, there's a feature that keeps the range hood on until it's safe to turn off. While that's true, I personally don't think it's an issue. In my experience, the range hood has stayed on an additional minute - maybe two minutes at most on a few occasions. It's not like it's still running when I'm leaving the house or going to bed. Aside from that, I think it's a great range hood. It does what it's designed to do and it looks good. It's one of the more stylish range hoods that I've seen.

Q: QuestionHow is this range hood connected for external venting? I already have a duct that is coming through the cabinet above the stove. So, does it have duct connection in the center? Please explain with more details. Thanks.

- A:Answer Yes I did a horizontal venting for the Broan that we installed in our remodeled kitchen. Installation instructions do deal with vertical venting and how to mount what they call the adapter/damper on top of hood. Actually above the rear edge of the hood. There are some mechanical steps to afix the adapter/damper to the hood. This is rectangular in shape (about 3" X 10") so final step is to match that piece to the existing duct. Whatever size or shape existing duct is, oval-rectangular-round, you must then match the new adapter/damper to the existing vent. I had to go to Home Depot to find a transition vent to match what I had. Good luck.
