Q: Do you have to print duplex or double sided?
A: Presently I have not had to print double sided. However, as a notary signing agent I have found the Brother HL-L6200DW, both fast and efficient for handling docs/files that require both letter and legal size printing. Very pleased.
Q: Does this model include the second paper tray?
A: There are two paper trays.
Q: Does each paper tray automatically switch back and forth between legal and letter while printing?

A: The printer does not do it . If you print from Adobe Acrobat reader select choose paper source by PDF page size. This will select the job of selecting the right paper size for each page
