Prepurchase Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition on PS4 and Play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Campaign 30 Days Early on 10.5.16

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will take players on an unforgettable journey as they engage in battles from Earth to beyond our atmosphere against a relentless, enemy faction that threatens our very way of life.

It's grand scale war and hallmark boots-on-the-ground Call of Duty action with memorable characters, rich emotional arcs, and stunning new environments, all within an epic new setting.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare puts storytelling front and center, in a deeply engaging narrative.

It features jaw-dropping set-pieces and blockbuster cinematic moments, while also delivering a gripping portrayal of war that harkens back to the roots of the franchise.

Infinity Ward also breaks new ground by thrusting the player into wartime leadership as Captain Reyes, a Tier 1 Special Operations pilot, who takes the helm of the Retribution, one of Earth's last remaining warships.

In a time of unthinkable hardships, Reyes must lead the remnants of coalition forces against a relentless foe in a war that spans our solar system.

The Settlement Defense Front (SetDef) represents a splinter group of insurgents that broke away from the United Nations Space Alliance during a war of secession, years ago.

In the world of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, our planet has been stripped of its natural assets through population growth and industrial expansion.

The people of Earth now rely upon colonies throughout the solar system to mine planets and asteroids for necessary fuel and other resources.

The SetDef is a fascist power, comprised of brutal and militant radicals, toughened by the extreme conditions of offworld environments.

They seek to control those outposts and their wealth, putting a stranglehold on the countries of Earth.

After years of uneasy stalemate, diplomatic relations are strained, and it will take only the slightest nudge to lead to full-scale war.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will feature an evolution of Call of Duty's movement system with an emphasis on front-line engagement.

Maps are designed to further leverage the movement system and immerse players into fast, fun, and frenetic gameplay that players have come to expect from Call of Duty.

With its new approach to play, multiplayer will bring innovative gameplay that challenges players to achieve their goals in creative ways based on their specific play style.

Infinity Ward introduces a fresh take on the nightmarish Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

With an all-new, immersive zombies storyline for players to uncover and explore, players are thrust into a spine tingling adventure not for the faint of heart.

The new zombies experience will take players on a wild ride with a multitude of new features, while thrilling players with the core mechanics that fans have come to expect from the mode.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare raises the bar yet again, delivering three stellar experiences in one exceptional package.

Issues getting what I paid for in Pre-order

So this is not an actual review on the game itself rather a nightmare scenario which has transpired. Hence the neutral 3 rating. Please see the below for insights. I would think twice before handing over your money if you plan to play anything but the core game (single and multi-player) as packaged. Once it has been proven they can provide a smooth and seamless experience I will then consider spending my money on the franchise again. I played the online BETA. I thought the Beta was a little cheesy and hyped but the play was good enough that as a casual player I was going to buy it. The below are the issues which occurred. 1) Gamers club unlocked welcome coupon did not work as expected (as I was told it would). Not the game makers fault but part of the frustration. 2) I was never sent the pre-order bonus content code as expected after 2 weeks from launch date and 1+ weeks from pick up. 3) Upon following up on the missing bonus content code, I was sent an email with a code for the Beta test (email received on Nov. 18). However, the Beta test started and ended in October. 4) Followed up seeking the proper bonus content code or to confirm the Beta and bonus content code was one in the same (Beta code email indicated the code in the email was strictly for the Beta test). Best Buy support did not know if the code was for both and said the manufacturer was contacted and would respond either directly to myself and/ or through Best Buy to myself within 24 hours. It has now been over 72 hours and no contact from either (I checked spam folders/ filters etc.). 5) Item is now on sale for less than what I originally paid for it only a couple weeks ago. At this point it is not worth my time to bother with this anymore. The games are only worth it if you receive the content (including add ons). I would have likely purchased the season pass as well. My time is far too valuable to follow up when not receiving what I am paying for. I will just spend my time and money on other games until Activision and the COD development and support teams can show they are able to deliver a pre and post sales experience providing customers with a smooth and hassle free experience which is what we are paying them for. Luckily I have yet to open the package and will be returning it.

High Highs and Low Lows Make Infinite Warfare a Mi

I've been a long time Call of Duty player but just haven't been interested in the series in the past few years, and actually haven't bought one since Call of Duty Ghosts in 2013. After taking a break from the series and not playing Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3, I was excited to jump back into the series and didn't listen to the negative comments and overall cynicism that seemed to be surrounding Infinite Warfare prior to its launch (especially the large number of down votes on the reveal trailer). When my copy of the game arrived, I did what I always do first in a new Call of Duty and jumped right into the single player. The short version- It's good. Really good. It tells a story that is intense, well paced, and makes you genuinely care about your brothers in arms in a way that I have experienced since Call of Duty 4 back in 2007. There are even brief moments of humor thrown in courtesy of your robotic sidekick E3N (Ethen). The biggest drawback of the campaign is that a large portion of the missions are actually optional side quests where you take down enemy capital ships or engage in space dogfights. While these are fun and add length to the campaign to flesh it out more and make you feel as though you are fighting an actual war rather than just jumping from one area to another arbitrarily, the overall formula of these side missions is similar across the entire campaign and a hint of repetitiveness can set in once you reach the halfway mark. That being said, the final act of the campaign is incredibly fun, exciting, and intense, bringing about a good sense of resolution without wearing out its welcome. Infinite Warfare has one of the best campaigns in the Call of Duty series and should be used as a benchmark for future Call of Duty single player stories.

I've been a Call Of Duty player since 2007 when Modern Warfare came out. Since then, I've stuck with the series despite the odd choices of themes they have been using as of late. I got myself hyped for Infinite Warfare and was excited for the campaign mostly since the multiplayer looked more of the same but I was hoping that it would feel different from what we were seeing in previews. It seems that all the efforts went into the story and multiplayer was an afterthought. I won't get into the plot details but I can say that it's one of the better COD plots of recent years. However, there was much hype with Kit Harrington from Game of Thrones being in the game and in truth, he barely has ten minutes of screen time. I played the multiplayer for three weeks before I threw in the towel because if felt like it was a poor version of Black Ops 3 from the previous year but far less inventive. The maps were poorly executed and the scorestreaks were pointless in a lot of matches. Now, if you're looking for more of the same that Black Ops 3 offered then you'll probably enjoy this game but keep in mind, there are a lot of features that are STILL NOT WORKING at the time of me writing this. Leaderboards, custom emblems, and some other features are still awaiting activation. Bottom line is that this game does not feel that it was in production for the past three years, in truth, it feels like the campaign was worked on for two and the online was slapped together in one year. As for Moder Warfare Remastered, it looks gorgeous and plays exactly like I remember it years ago. It's unfortunate that Activision decided to throw in micro transactions into that game as well.

Campaign was fun to play. You can pick and choose which mission to play next. You could do all the side missions first or just skip them and play main missions but all the missions award perks/equipment. Multiplayer is fast-paced, exo-suit double-jumping madness. Unless you are a slayer, be prepared to die quickly and often. Oh, and supply drops and weapon variants. I hate entire concept of this. With the luck of the draw you could unlock an Epic weapon in a supply drop that has built-in perks that stack with your chosen perks OR you could spend even more money on the game by purchasing supply drops with COD points (in-game currency obtained via cold hard cash). Zombies. What more need I say? I'm a huge fan, going all the way back to WaW where it all started. I've always been cautious about the different add-on "experiences" each COD has offered. Whether it's fighting aliens or exo-suit zombies, wasn't a huge fan of those. But this time around they stuck with non-exo-suit zombies (a good thing). Plus, the retro thing kind of lightens the mood versus the darker, grimmer Treyarch experience. The Legacy Edition also includes Modern Warfare Remastered. This game is easily the best FPS since Goldeneye, definitely a genre defining game. Also, its boots on the ground gameplay brings a refreshing reminder of what it was like to play COD before eco-suits. However when playing online, you better watch out for all the grenades. You better not bring a knife to a grenade fight...

Great Game for Call of Duty Fans!

I've only played about an hour or so into the campaign just to make sure the disc was working properly so I can only give a snapshot opinion of what I've seen so far. The campaign is exactly what you would expect from a Call of Duty game and it delivers on all counts. The graphics are great on the PS4 (better than the XBOX One that had some screen tearing which I also had a copy of and returned for the PS4 version). The frame rate is very smooth and handles a lot of action going on without any noticeable stumbling. The action in the beginning has a cut scene in outer space but the parts I've played so far take place on Earth. I'm guessing the fighting will move along to outer space later in the game. I'm saving the rest of the campaign for the holidays so I'll probably write an updated review upon completion. I can't speak for the co-op or multiplayer options since I have not used them at this time. The Modern Warfare Remastered game that is included as a download is excellent so far which looks and plays better than the original which I had played quite a number of times in the past when it was a new release. I see that Best Buy is going to have this game on sale for Black Friday so if you were not sure about buying it and holding back, that would be a good time to pick the game up, especially if you can get an additional 20% off if you have the Best Buy Gamer membership. Enjoy!

      Good For Only COD4

I have bought Call of Duty titles every year for 9 years now and Infinite Warfare is really disappointing. The campaign is actually pretty good and one of the best out of the new console COD's. But the thing that made Call of Duty what it is (or was really) is the multiplayer. Now Infinity Ward was stuck in the 3 year cycle with this so it's not entirely their fault. But I would have much more preferred them just take Black Ops 3 put a different cover on it, change guns, maps, and stuff like that and call it their new game. Instead multiplayer feels like Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, and Ghosts had a baby together and that's the multiplayer they put out. Three years to make a game and after a month there are still no leaderboards, there are still "pay to win" supply drops, and hit detection and time to kill are so out of whack. Out of this game the one shining light is Raven Studios who remastered Call of Duty 4, which is the original. Thank goodness they did that. With beefed up graphics and a new look I am overall impressed with the work they put into it. They redid the whole game and it looks great compared to infinite Warfare. I'm not going to say don't by the game, because I am a Call of Duty fan and want it to get better. But if you are looking for something constantly fun that won't frustrate you I would look into Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, or Destiny the Complete Edition.

Bought for Modern Warfare Remastered, it's OK

A buddy from college convinced me to buy this so we could play Modern Warfare online like we used to a long time ago. While I don't play these games as much as I used to, I left COD for Battlefield a couple years ago and still feel Battlefield is the better game. That said, they did a great job with Modern Warfare. It plays just like it used to, though I though I used to be able to customize the killstreak perks, which you cannot. The graphics have been updated nicely. Not as good looking at current games but still vastly improved. As for Infinite warfare, it's bad. Really bad. I gave it a shot on it's hardest setting. The first level has you eliminating soldiers from a polar base and stealing some super weapon. Even on it's hardest setting, this was a breeze. Until the final moment when you're fighting (just holding down the trigger on a laser gun, no tactics) giant robots. I died repeatedly. Set the difficulty lower, then realized that all I had to do was push a button on a giant floor mounted gun and it'd switch to a cut scene and it was done. Unfortunately, I missed that command over all the noise the first dozen times. Infinite warfare is so very generic and tired. If you're looking for a bit of nostalgia with Modern Warfare, go for it. Curious about Infinite Warfare? Skip it.

Presentation/Availability: Product was well packaged with no broken/opened box. There were many available at the store. Performance/Gameplay - Infinite Warfare: My review is for the PS4. If you like shooter games, then you will definitely like this game. I like the weapons and accessories. Image resolution (gameplay and theatrical) is very good. The sound is spectacular!!!!!! The campaign story is very good and fast-paced with tremendous graphics. Online playing is fast-paced and I love it!!!! I really recommend you use a good headset with this game if you want to hear every tiny sound on the game (local and online). I recommend getting the Season Pass because if you like the online maps that come with the game, I can’t imagine the newer maps as new DLCs get out, plus is cheaper that way. Performance/Gameplay – Modern Warfare Remastered: Good graphics and tremendous sound. Excellent campaign story. Online is more for seasoned/experience players from the past, however, you still can play more and more online, that way you get the experience you need to survive. For the classic players of this game, it is a real treat. Customer service: Very good customer service. I was greeted by an employee as soon as I walked through the door. I have it pre-order and was out of the store in less than 10 minutes.
