New mechanics, but new doesn't mean better.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dark souls 1 always left me wanting more, and i still play it. Dark souls 2 on the other hand is now a game of forcing myself to play it because I want to be able to say I beat Dark Souls 2, and because I know the multiplayer is better. The games combat system is clumsy at best, especially since attacks are analog stick based, rather than lock on (If I'm walking backwards and swing, the character will turn around and swing behind him, rather than at the target I'm backing away from, even though I'm locked on). They attempted to fix things that were never broken and most enemies aren't really that threatening, other than the magic users and the bosses are simple enemies; dodge, attack, dodge, attack, dodge, attack. With Dark Souls 1 You had to figure out the enemies move set, in Dark Souls 2 the enemies move set it rather obvious and clunky, most likely to make it possible to play the game with the slower characters. In the end, If this weren't a souls game it's great, but because it followed up on the amazing Dark Souls 1 it's not that great, most likely a biased opinion due to my experience with Dark Souls 1. So if you want a fun challenging game, try Dark Souls 2, if you want a game that smothers you in dread and hate, until you try again and again, and finally reach the top, the climax of success and feel just amazing, get Dark Souls 1

You will Die!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dark Souls is a game that challenges players with intense combat and over the top difficulty. This is a reminder of the classic games of the past where you have to learn how to complete a level by dying over and over again. This gives the player a great feeling of accomplishment when you do complete a level or learn a new effective technique. If you don't like a challenge or get frustrated easily I would recommend avoiding Dark Souls but if you are up to it give it a chance it may surprise you.

+B Great Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful to play and every bit as difficult as it's predecessors. The Title still holds the replay ability as before if not more so. Linking with others is easier and smoother in my experience. I just wish you could invite or join from your friends list. Great game worth every penny.

Very good game you cannot finish quickly.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good game ,challenge not easy to finish a lot of problem solving, but if you die in the battle ,you got to start all over again. Doesn't save on the part were you die ,plus you will loss your money if you don't going back to the part were you lose it .

Good game but hard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very hard game. If your new or like to play games on easy then don't play this game. Not much story to the game, have to figure out what to do on your own. Is fun to play but like I said, hard.

Not for easy gaming.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is VERY hard. Prepare to die OFTEN. Its a challenging mix of fighting and dodging. Dont try to go in swinging because it will only get you killed. There is a reason they claim this is the hardest game ever made!

Excellent game that provides a great challenge.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent game that betters the first in almost every way. It is very challenging, but with the extreme difficulty comes a great feeling of accomplishment after beating it.

You'll die a lot. But it's amazing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only negative thing about this game is how amazingly difficult it is not to die. Probably intended to be realistic gameplay and/or more for the hardcore gamer, because hey in real life if a single weapon hit you let's face it you'd probably be dead. In other words not like other games where they give you tons of hitpoints to survive most battles, whereas this game you simply die. So you have to let go of that fact and accept it to enjoy the game. Other than that one thing, this game is amazingly in-depth, challenging, fantastic graphics, and overall a great game.
