A: This is the newest Kaby Lake processor i7 with 7Y75 processor that is around 1.3ghz overclocked to like 3.2ghz(about) and has dual core 4 threading processor. Because it is only 1.3ghz, it does not use the cooling fan which helps the battery life to go beyond the heavy duty ones like i7-7500. Look at the hinge, it folds back, and its touch screen. This is the same new XPS 13" (16GB/256GB SSD) except 512GB SSD for extra $400. This has a pcle SSD which is super fast compare to the regular SSD'S. hope it helps..
Q: what is the battery life on this 2 in 1 with 4k during a normal day of use?
A: Technically this is not 4k, it is QHD+ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_display_resolution) which is slightly lower but the same aspect ratio. For battery consumption I think it depends on what you are doing - watching movies will drain more than doing emails for example. For a very rough example I did emails and read PDF documents for 4 hours and the battery was at more than 50%. I had the display at full brightness, was working on Wi-Fi, and didn't employ any special power saving modes. I purchased Model: XPS9365-700 SKU: 5709803.
Q: It is coming with stylus? It is similar as new model?
A: no stylus. newer model is light years better
Q: Is there an HMDI port on this computer? If so, is it the standard size?
A: No there is no HDMI. The computer is too thin to have space for the larger connections. Instead it has 1 USB Type-C port on each side of the computer. You would need an adapter from USB-C to HDMI.
A: undefined
Q: What version of windows does this include? Betting Home, but I want Pro. Thanks!
A: This unit comes with Windows 10 Home, however open-box units have a very small chance to have Windows 10 Pro if it had been upgraded by the purchaser and NOT tied to a Microsoft account during the purchase process (this would then tie it to the hardware, and would allow it's use after the factory reset at time of return or by Geek Squad for the certification process). While this is possible, it is highly unlikely and it is best to consider all units to have Windows 10 Home installed by default.
A: Double check that your computer is actually shutting down and not just sleep mode. It may be running all the time and will over heat. Had the same problem and found multiple accounts on the internet. When I would shut mine down the windows would reboot in one second. I actually did not notice it, but IT at work did when he was loading things for me. We both looked on the net and only found reports of the problem and overheating. Geek Squad was NO HELP. I could not believe they did not have a solution. Sorry I could go on about them. Finally IT called dell and it is a setting issues with windows 10. He made those changes and mine has worked great. I wish I knew more but I'm not IT, but it is fixable. Call Dell directly.
