Watch the christmas special before this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pre ordered this and since it didn't say anything about what was included other then "as seen on BBC America" I thought that it would include the Christmas special since all other season did only difference is that the Christmas special is in the middle of the season and not the beginning as all others were. As soon as I got it I found this out I went to ordered Doctor Who "THE SNOWMEN" which is the Christmas special and it came out the same day as this and was already on back order and local store were out already when I order it. I really like the series and couldn't wait so I watched it I do NOT recommended doing this. Watch The Snowmen episode before part 2. otherwise there will be points that feel like something is missing. I did get the Christmas special before writing this I watched it and then I watched the part two again. There were quiet a few moments that made more sense and some that I didn't know that I missed by not watching Christmas special the snowmen. excellent and good surprise at the end

Top Notch SciFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Season 7 Dr. Who was right up there with other seasons. The send off for Amy and Rory was heart wrenching. But not all companions live to tell their exploits in old age. But Who are we kidding. It's time travel and you never know what might happen. Season 7 led up to the introduction of Clara. Pulls you right back in for the next companion, mid season. Good chemistry all around. I'm not sure about the decision to change out Matt Smith. He grew on you season 5 to 7. Yet Riversong said way back in season 5 or 6 that the Dr. was younger than she remembered marrying. So there is a set up to another Doctor. Teaser at the end of Season 7, could John Hurt be the next Doctor? Okay so you will need the two movies after Season 7 to find this out. John Hurt's Doctor (#9) came in between Peter McGann (#8) and Christopher Eceleston (#10). That would make David Tenant #11, and Matt Smith as #12. But as legend has it the Doctor olny has 12 lives. A slight of hand blessing from the Time Lords sending regenerative energy through a time paradox allows us #13 and Peter Capaldi steps in. Buy the two movies after Season 7 to decipher all this yourself.

Finally a new companion!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ponds had a good run, whether you liked them or not. I was tired of them myself and, the ever faithful red-shirt guy Rory just proves why the Doctor should travel with only one companion. A breathe of fresh air we finally have a new companion! It's really to bad that they are doing less episodes this season than previous seasons but any Doctor Who is good Doctor Who. One of the few programs I look forward to more than any other. This dvd is definitely worth adding to your collection. I realize everyone has there favorite doctors and, I hope they give Matt Smith a proper farewell as they did Tennant as he definitely deserves it.

Series-7 - Highly Recommended!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Series 7 of the revived Doctor Who is loads of fun! It contains 13 regular season episode plus 2 Christmas specials. The first special has the Doctor without companions in the 1940's. The first 5 regular episodes are the final ones with Amy and Rory as companions. The rest of the series deals with the mysterious Clara and why does she keep popping up again after having died - twice? That gets an answer in the last episode of this set, which leads into the 50th anniversary special - sold separately. I high recommend series 7. Especially in Blu-Ray format. There isn't a clunker in the bunch

Love the Series 7 bluray!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very happy with my purchase of Doctor Who series 7, particularly as it did include the specials "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe" that aired between series 6 and 7, and "The Snowmen" that aired after the fifth episode. It also includes various special features aimed at serious Whovians that explore things about the series and also events such as San Diego Comic Con (2012) that was attended by cast members Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill. My only complaints are that the price is a bit steep even for a bluray—other shows with comparable episode numbers and disc numbers are at least $20-30 cheaper. Of course, it should also decrease over time. Really the only thing the price hindered wast ability to purchase more than just this one series.

Don't Worry! The Doctor & Amy are Here!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps the best performances of Matt Smith< Karen Gillan, and Arthur Duval to date. As time winds down for the 11th Doctor, we are treated to the usual mix suspense and comedy that has made Doctor Who one of the best Sci-Fi series on television today. We see a sad farewell as Amy and Rory live out their lives in a New York City with Angels all over the place. Of course, those are the Doctor Who variety of Angels. I bought this season for just under $35.00 which is about half the normal price for most seasons of the BBC series. I also got an additional discount when I purchased "An Adventure in Space and Time", a BBC produced television movie about the creation of the Doctor Who series.

Love my Doctor Who
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of Doctor Who from the beginning of the original series. The Matt Smith years are every bit a good as the show gets. Season 7 is the build-up to the 50th anniversary special. It features the farewell to the Ponds, the introduction of Clara (the impossible girl), and the introduction of an unknown previous incarnation of the Doctor from the height of the Time War. This collection is full of 2 Christmas specials, several prequels, and assorted special features.

What imagination!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have loved doctor who since I was a kid. The new series is way better than the old. It's updated and it's not hard to see that a lot of love and care go into the productions of these series. I love the use of imagination. The writers of the series obviously have a large, wonderful imagination. I love all the positive points they put in. Truly something for the entire family especially the kids.
