Q: Is it possible to purchase a replacement battery here in Hawaii?
A: Krystal and all Hawaii Dyson Owners, Dyson does NOT ship replacement batteries to Hawaii due to Hazmat shipping costs/restrictions. Krystal didn’t want Hawaii consumers to know this via this forum. But that is the unfortunate truth. If you call Dyson, you will learn the same. Regards, Hawaii Anthony
A: The long shaft can come off so you can put attachments on and use it as a hand vacuum. The only difference between the v7 animal vs v8 animal that I can tell is the battery last 10 minutes longer on the v8. Not positive if there is a suction difference. Same amount of attachments for both v7 and v8.
A: Get the warranty. Under the two years, dyson is great for problems. Mine broke one month after the warranty ended. The part would cost me as much as a new product
Q: What is the expected lifetime of Dyson V7 battery?
A: Not sure...HOWEVER, you must figure it will be $100 or more...purchase the Best Buy 5 year protection plan and they will guarantee the battery and entire vacuum for five years.
Q: Do you need to replace filter? if so, how often?
A: Both filters are washable. Just be sure they completely dry before you reinstall them
A: I would recommend going directly through Dyson website and purchasing their V7 (or greater) Absolute Stick vacuum. The purchase comes with hardwood floor attachment with purchase.
Q: Does the charging station have to be mounted on a wall?
