Serve it purpose
Easy set up if your hvac wires are in order, specially the C wire. If not, it may take some time to figure out what goes where. I have the blue C wire, but it wasn't properly connect and it took me a few hours to figure out where to connect it for power. Other than that, pretty straight forward. Had a little issue adding device to home. When setting up in app, make sure you choose only the wires that's connected. App is fairly simple to use. Only problem I had was the auto setting is a bit confusing. There's no one temperature to set at, There's a range between heating and cooling you have to set and it doesn't keep a constant temperature. It fluctuates a few degrees. When installing, decide if you want to use the back plate or not before you connect the wires. Otherwise, you'll have to disconnect them to add the plate. Annoying at first to connect, but works as it design to. Now, you can control your thermostat from anywhere. Not a fan of the oval shape, but already had a few Cync device and app. Suppoort respond fairly quickly, but hand you from one tech to the next that doesn't seem to understand your specific issue before giving an answer. You'd be better of figuring it out yourself.

Super-duper GREAT PRODUCT!
One cannot go wrong with a GE product. This thermostat is so easy to install, set the schedule, and forget about it! My condo is cooler at night while I sleep and a few degrees warmer during the day! One can even see how much energy it is using! Buy it!

Simple, Affordable
I picked up the GE Cync Smart Thermostat because I wanted something easy to install and control from my phone without spending a fortune. Setup was straightforward, and I like that it works with Alexa and Google Assistant. The Cync app is clean, and scheduling is simple enough for anyone to figure out. That said, it’s definitely a “no-frills” smart thermostat. There’s no learning mode like Nest, no humidity or outdoor temperature display, and the screen stays on all the time with no dimming option—which can be annoying in a bedroom. It’s also not Energy Star certified, so don’t expect advanced energy savings features. If you just want an affordable thermostat you can control remotely and you don’t need all the bells and whistles, this one is worth considering. But if you’re after advanced automation or extra customization, you might want to look at Ecobee or Nest instead.
