Great monitor

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5the Gigabyte M27Q is a very good option for gaming. It has a good refresh rate, good color image quality. Free sync works perfect. the price is excellent for everything the monitor offers, it competes monitors like Dell s2721dhf or LG gn850-B, I can say that the M27Q can be a little better in terms of performance, For gaming I disabled HDR . the configuration I use for the best image quality is in standard: -brightness 50 nits. -Contrast 80. -Gamma 3. -Color Tem User Red 95-Green 98-Blue 100. All other configurations must be in default. I got this information on the web. the ods is ok the materials are plastic the base is metal. What I did not like is that in some areas the text has blur but it can be fixed using the windows option "Clear Type Text Tuner". I recommend this monitor, it is one of the best options that best buy has and in its category it is one of the best.

Good if it works
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Value2 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I got 3 monitors one of them was bad it has a dark line from top to bottom that appears suddenly at anytime, I thought it was the cables, then the video card, the drivers, when I tried to change it for one that works the 14 days policy from Bestbuy was over. So now I have a monitor that it's not even a month old that has to be fixed, Gigabyte won't change it for a new one I tried to explain Bestbuy the situation, seems like talking to a wall.

Great performer, horrible light bleed
Posted .Features
Quality3 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Wife bought this for me from BB, over all it performs great. The only problem was that it had a lot of light bleed, and I mean A LOT. I thought I could ignore it but turns out I couldn’t, I had to return it. If not for the light bleed I would have kept it, it performs well.

Nice monitor - Bad quality control issues
|Posted .Features
Quality1 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Pros mentioned:DesignEverything about this monitor seems like it'd be the perfect IPS panel for the price. Looks great, stand is nice, super amazing display. 170hz refresh rate is noticeable in games and holds its own against the other LG IPS 2k monitors. BUT, and a big but too.......the panel I waited 5 days for, that I just picked up at a store 10 miles away, came with 3 dead pixels and horrible black light bleed on the left side. It's not the expected IPS glow that most panels have either, literally looks like dark brown haze to the eye. This monitor is now "sold out" and I have no option but to return it. I really liked this monitor, but I only ended up wasting a bunch of time and sadly disappointed. Check the pics, I hovered my cursor over the dead pixels. I originally thought it had 1 bad pixel, but as I started writing this review, I discovered the other 2 near it. Would not be surprised if I find more. Please check other websites that carry this M27Q, I'm not the only one with this issue. Seems quality control is severely lacking. Now I have to go stand in line to return this in the middle of a pandemic, with no option to exchange it for another. What a waste..

Great monitor for the price and KVM is amazing

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:PriceI read a lot of the reviews on here that are negative and wanted to give my overall impressions. I realize there may be quality issues with the monitor, but I got a good unit and it works great in my home setup, allowing me to switch seamlessly between my laptop and desktop systems with the KVM switch. The display looks great with relatively minor bleed when showing a full black screen. Overall, the product is what was promised and I hope the people that have quality issues are able to get their units replaced, because the monitor is working great for me!

Great mid-range monitor!

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I use this monitor for 1) my work laptop 2) my gaming pc and 3) my PS5. I have no issues with it while using my computers. I’ve seen other buyers have issues with lighting around the edges of their units but either mine doesn’t have the issue or it’s just unnoticeable. My PS5 graphics don’t look as good as I would have hoped but that’s probably because I haven’t bothered to calibrate it for my PS5. You can customize settings for different profiles and quickly switch between profiles using the menu knob behind the monitor. My one gripe with this monitor is the placement of the menu knob (behind the monitor, lower right-hand side). I wish they had positioned it lower towards the bottom of the screen so that I could just curl a finger underneath rather than awkward stick my entire hand under and around the back, feeling for the knob. One of the nifty features of this monitor is supposed to be the KVM switch, but I haven’t had the chance to use it yet. At $330, I don’t think you’ll have much buyer’s remorse with this monitor - it’s fantastic and gets the job done. If you can get it for below $300, I’m not sure if this could beat.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:PriceAn amazing monitor for a great price! The 1440p 170hz looks amazing, I haven’t noticed any backlight bleed, the kvm works great switching between my gaming pc and school laptop and the picture quality overdrive mode works the best for every refresh rate. Well worth it!

Great monitor except........
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Great monitor except it won't do 1440 120fps with the xbox series x YET only 1080 120 or 1440 60.... Microsoft and gigabyte are both aware of the issue and are going to fix it with an update.. even with that problem it is still an incredible monitor and I'm happy with it..... When it gets patched I'll add it to the reciew

Q: QuestionIf displayport 1.2 can only support 1440p @ 165hz and hdmi 2.0 can only support 1440p @144hz, how can this monitor run at 170hz given those are the only port options avaliable?
Asked by TheChosenOne68plus1.
- A:Answer I'm not 100% sure, but it may be using "display stream compression" or it might doing YUV 4:2:0.

Q: QuestionI see this has 2 x HDMI and 1 x DP, so if I hook up three machines to it, will the KVM support all three?
Asked by Scott.
- A:Answer No, just two. For the KVM to work you need to connect the USB cables too. There's one USB-in to go with DP/HDMI (computer 1). Then there's the USB type-c connection for both display and peripheral (computer 2).

Q: QuestionI understand the screen can tilt up, but can it tilt down as well?
Asked by TheKJM.
- A:Answer It has an equal tilt down and up. It isn’t much but it does tilt. I have 2 matching ones and they’re great.
