Q: Will this work just off my standard router or do I need a Smart Things hub?
A: I'm not sure, but device i'm using is standart modem / wifi router provided by Comcast so i'm guessing any wireless device will do it.
A: Hi Savvyshopper! The Honeywell - Lyric™ T5 Wi-Fi Thermostat can control 3 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling in a heat pump application. In a conventional system it can control 2 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling. A: Hi Brandon! The Lyric T5 Wi-Fi thermostat does have an Auto Changeover feature allowing the thermostat to switch between heating and cooling based on your desired set points. This can be enabled in the Device Setup. To access the Device Setup press and hold Menu device Device Setup appears. Select Device Setup then press the right arrow until function 300 Auto Changeover appears, press edit, press the arrow to change the option from Off to On, press Done to save, and press back twice to return to the main screen. After returning to the main screen press mode until Auto appears above Mode, Auto Chng. On will also appear in the upper right hand corner. Hope this helps!

A: Yes it can send alerts for high and/or low temps

A: This did qualify for rebates in Wisconsin, I would check with your local utility company to see if the rebate applies in your area.
