Radiohead just keeps on delivering
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just further proof that Radiohead is on the same level as The Beatles. Now before you jump to conclusions listen to what I have to say.I am not saying that Radiohead are the next Beatles, what I am saying is that like The Beatles,Radiohead has managed to remake themselves by being on the cutting edge of musical progression while still being able to maintain their core sound. It's a very fine line to walk and honestly I haven't heard or seen a band since The Beatles that has managed to pull this off until Radiohead and In Rainbows is no exception.I will be the first to admit that Radiohead will never have the same musical appeal The Beatles had but In Rainbows is a very catchy album that retains the Radiohead sound and manages to reach out to a wider audience. If you're a fan buy it you will not be disappointed. If you are new to Radiohead give In Rainbows a chance and if you like it then I urge you to give their other albums a listen as well and you might be surprised to find yourself a fan.

In Rainbows
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is radiohead's 7th album. Again we see Radiohead take their sound in another direction that lacks repeating of their previous work nor does it deviate strongly to create a sense of abandonment. This album has a cool lightness or gentleness as it may be put that makes this album standout from its predecessors. The guitar is largely minimalistic, the keys strongly immersive as usual and thom yorke's falsetto is prevelant as well. Jonny Greenwood's string arrangements are very prominent and leads in the albums many building climaxes. It really is an amazing album and is strongly recommended for already radiohead fans. Usually for those new to radiohead to ease them into their sound i would recommend ok computer or the bends as a starting point but i feel this album would work just as well for any new comer.

New Fan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The recommendation of this album came from an avid Radiohead fan and friend. I had heard a few songs and was only a fan of the "hits" like Fake Plastic Trees. This album, however, is solid from beginning to end and is truly an incredible ALBUM, not a couple of hits and then a random collection. Even if you are not a fan, you should give this an honest listen, and for all other musicians, please learn a valid lesson: strive to make an album, not a hit song! In the music world of clones and stagnation, it is comforting to know a few true musicians remain who are concerned with producing a beautiful work of art, from beginning to end.

Great album
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another great album from Radiohead. Experimentation is still here, but to a lesser extent than the previous three albums. You won't find that many bands around that can continue to keep up with its distinct sounds. I particularly like the song "Jigsaw falling into place". The song sounds very raw to me, which i like a lot. I can totally feel how the lyrics and dynamics intertwine together wonderfully. Please get this album if you are a fan of rock and would like to hear some "alternative" sounds of guitar-driven songs.

Amazing Album
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is another excellent album from Radiohead. One of my favorites from them, it is a pleasure to listen to from start to finish. Good arrangements, great musicianship, every song is unique. The album has variety but is for the most part mellow and moody, and some songs are quite romantic. Definitely worth purchasing. And it even comes with a sticker inside.

I listen to this cd nearly once a day
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tops my list of current cd's. I'm not a super huge fan of Radiohead, but I do own some of their older stuff. And I honestly believe that this cd can hang with their older music. Parts of this cd touch brilliance, and obviously each person is going to have their favorites. My favorites were songs #5 All I Need, #6 FAUST ARP, and #7 Reckoner.

Very Satisfying 7nth Album
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Featuring several songs that go as far back as 1997 (including the highly anticipated Nude), we see the band somewhat returning to the standard pop song format. When a band can do whatever they want to do dissapointment looms. However, Radiohead do NOT let down ANYBODY on their 7nth release which has only recently found a label to press a hardcopy to. Great Release!
