- A: AnswerSounds like you need to connect your Sony turntable to a phono preamp, and then connect the preamp outs to the speakers.
Answered by ccll
- A: AnswerYou can connect your source to them without wires- just like you would with BT wireless headphones- pair them with your device and enjoy. Note, there is a wire between the two speakers. The amplifier for both channels is in one speaker (so it also needs an AC power cord), and it sends the signal to the other via regular speaker wire.

Q: QuestionJust read info, & specs doesn’t tell how many watts?(1 answer)
A: AnswerEach speaker is 22 watts.Answered by CommunityAnswer
- A: AnswerDefinitely. You can use 3.5 to RCA or 3.5 to 3.5. It has inputs for both. One limitation- if you want to use a powered sub with them, the RCA Sub Out on the Insignia's is designed incorrectly and outputs max volume regardless of the setting of the speakers' own remote volume control. If you adjust the level only from the PC, that can work, but be aware you won't be able to use the remote that comes with the speakers if you use a sub.

Q: QuestionAnswer doesn't make sense... how. Many. Cords? And what is the length?(2 answers)
A: AnswerNot sure what the question is but you get about a 10 ft speaker cable to connect the speakers together and your power cable which I believe is about 4 ft. I used different speaker wire to spread them out further and it has worked fine.Answered by Jessejams
Q: QuestionWhat is the frequency response and size of the mid?(2 answers)
A: AnswerHello, these speakers have a 1" tweeter, 4" driver, and their frequency range is 70HZ-20K. Regards, Daniel T. - Insignia SupportAnswered by InsigniaCustomerSupport
- A: AnswerIf your TV has the RCA ports then you should be able to connect the speakers. In order to use your TV remote though, you will need to go into your TV’s settings and choose “external speakers.” This should work.

Great speakers
Pros/Good things: 1 - variety of inputs: Bluetooth, RCA, and 3.5mm phono input --Bluetooth range and connection is good. I have not had any problems with any device connecting with the speakers. As well, I keep the RCA connected to my television's audio out, and keep a Chromecast audio permanently connected to the 3.5mm input. 2 - remote control* (also see Cons/Not so good things) -- having a remote is nice, but there are also volume and tone controls, and the input selector on the speaker itself. 3- volume and sound -- These are bookshelf sized speakers, but they do get loud. I haven't had any issues with distortion, but I don't play music at peak loudness often. The bass is good enough for my liking. 4 - misc/etc -- The speaker grilles are removable. The main speaker has an LED to let you know what input you are on. You can also pair/connect your device via NFC, though I didn't use it and only paired via Bluetooth. Cons/Not so good things: 1 - remote control -- The remote is very cheap - though I very much appreciate having a remote, this one is rather flimsy.

Good quality build, good sound, and convenient!
I normally never bother to write reviews, however this time I wanted to take a moment and let anyone who is even considering these speakers rest assured that, with the right expectations, you will not be disappointed. I purchased a nice Pro-Ject turntable for my office here at work, and I like coming in extremely early in the morning while its quiet, in order to concentrate and work on reports, analysis etc. - and I like listening to classical vinyl (Bach's Brandenburg Concerto is my favorite), and I needed a pair of powered speakers to work with my new turntable and preamp. Originally, I ordered a "fancy expensive brand" from Amazon (I won't bother you with the name, but they were 4 times this price), and Amazon kept delaying the delivery and lost the package. So, in my frustration, I jumped on to my Best Buy account and these "Insignia" ones were in stock at the store. I normally stay away from store brands, but I was in an angry mood, and wanted to hear my music. I bought these, they hurried out to curbside pickup quickly as they always do, and I brought these back. The variety of connectors in the back was a nice surprise. I was able to connect the phono plugs from my preamp right into the phono input on the back. Also - something these have that the "expensive" brand did not, was the little remote. Yes, as others have said, the remote is somewhat plasticky and lightweight - however that in no way affects how it works. And let me tell you, when an unexpected call comes in, having that remote handy is a blessing! The sound on these speakers is average, but decent quality nonetheless. The highs are decent with a good midrange and clean lows. Listening to good vinyl, at a decent volume level, is very pleasant and surprisingly good for speakers at this price point - and powered ones at that! The build quality is good - they are sturdy and have a good weight to them, not cheap-feeling at all. Honestly, I am very pleased with this purchase, and if you are considering these, go right ahead. Save yourself some money over those more "expensive" ones, and get these, and you will most certainly be pleased with the result :)
