A: Yes it has to sit on something or the paper will jam. It doesn't come with a bin. I placed mine over an small box or used my kitchen garbage can. There are little handles on the side to hold in place and one side is adjustable.

A: it is 33.5 cm (13.18 inches) when it is extended. The shredder itself is 22 cm (8.66 inches)

A: This is about a 3 gallon bucket type basket. The shredder actually sits on top in a slotted holder. To empty you unplug the unit and detach it from the basket easily in a upward motion. I usually place a shopping bag over it and dump it.

A: Without actually measuring them, I'd say about a quarter of an inch. Wait. I have a ruler. They are 8mm, just less than 1/4 inch.

A: No battery option. It plugs in.

A: I have already picked this item up from the Augusta store. Only ordered and got one.
Q: What is the cool down time? What is the actual running time?
A: Cool down requires 15-20 minutes. It is not recommended to be used for over 2 minutes of constant activity, but I got over an hour by using short breaks of only a few seconds.
