An Awesome Independent Film!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.“Lady Bird” is one of those rare films that comes along every few years and from beginning to end, you laugh, and you cry, all while being entertained and impressed by the actors who are portraying the characters in the movie. I loved this film SO much that I bought it, and I know that I won’t regret it for a second. All who were nominated for an Oscar for this film, was well deserved, in my opinion. I hope that you will enjoy this wonderful film as much as I do.

A Moving and Funny Film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starring Saoirse Ronan in the lead role – Christine, or “Lady Bird,” as she prefers to be called, a young woman about to graduate high school – the movie features an outstanding ensemble cast that includes Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, Lucas Hedges, Timothée Chalamet and Beanie Feldstein, to name but a few of the many fine actors. In addition to the performances and the writing, Lady Bird impresses with its meticulous production design and economical editing. Both moving and funny in equal measure, the movie announces a major new talent behind the camera. Welcome, Ms. Gerwig. We hope to see a lot more from you in the future. With writing and direction this smart, “Lady Bird” is a joy to watch

Enjoyable movie
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lady Bird's a great little slice-of-life drama, rich in its authentic family portrait, with fantastic performances across the board. It's enjoys the same snapshot diary feel as The Florida Project, with young, budding actress-turned-filmmaker Greta Gerwig not only proving that she's learned a great deal from working with directors like Noah Baumbach, but also that she has a voice and style very much of her own. It's an impressive directorial debut, and Universal's UK Blu-ray release provides a solid rendition of the distinctive style and strong audio support with a couple of decent extras to round out a recommended package.

That’s a picture of the year of 2017
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was a candidate for best picture in 2017. In my opinion it should’ve won best picture. It was one of the most well crafted, best directed and incredibly acted movies I’ve ever seen. Not typically the genre are usually watch but I was pulled into the movie almost from the very beginning and was fully entertained the entire movie long.

My new favorite movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having just moved to Sacramento, this movie holds a special place in my heart. It is hilariously honest in its portrayal of a teen nothing like her mom just wanting to get away from her roots only to realize she wouldn't be who she was without it all. The scenes are shot at beloved places in the city and inspired me to get out and explore.

Great Debut
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Greta Gerwig can only go downhill from here, because this was about as good a debut as can be done. The coming-of-age storyline was solid, but it was Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf's performances that really helped make this special. I love Frances McDormand and Allison Janney, but the Oscars should have gone to the Lady Bird ladies.
