A: We use our top drawer as a refrigerator for school lunches, it can also be switched to freezer mode instead and used for fast moving frozen goods like desserts or treats. Also a good place to put items you want frozen but plan to use soon.

Top Rated and Wifi can be stubborn.
In week two of using the refrigerator. Everything is working well and it is large. Not sure what size my old one was but it was at least and inch or two not as deep. Everything fits but just getting used to it sticking out further. Went with this unit based off of CR ratings and past experience with LG refrigerator. Has an issue getting the wifi to work, but LG service was great sent someone out and we got it working. We did a lot of things but I would suggest using a table vs a phone to get it to first connect. Your phone has too many other was to connect. Features: #1 feature for us was the door in door. old refrigerator did not keep temp. This feature is making a difference. #2 feature was the conversion drawer, time will tell if is a plus. #3 craft ice, it's just fun Extra features that you may not know that we like: Measured dispensing of water. Smart Energy grid made, don't use it but if my coop offered it now I can use it. The ice cubes are smaller than GE cubes and I like it.

LG refrigerator, great unit at a great price
Having the full width of the refrigerator makes storing trays of food a breeze. The custom ice spheres are great for mixed drinks. The “customizable” middle drawer is fantastic for storing frequently used items or allowing for additional freezer space. The door in a door feature is great for accessing items without having to open up the full door. I love the measured water dispenser feature and the size of the dispenser allows you to easily fill up water bottles without having to hold them the whole time.

Good, large refrigerator
Good refrigerator aesthetically and has large capacity. Door-in-door is a better design than some competing units, but lighting in back is not as good as comparable models from, say, GE. Temperature variation is acceptable as you open doors, add new items, etc.
