Decent Crowes Album
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first heard "Lions", I loved every bit of it from start to finish. However, once I bought it and listened to it on a loop, I started to pick up on some of the nuances of the album that I didn't like that much. There are some solid Crowes songs on this album, but it's no Southern Harmony or Shake Your Money Maker. Some of the best inspiration comes from simple riffs the Robinsons created for Soul Singing. This album is definitely worth listening to...and for $4.99, it's worth the cost in my opinion. If you're a Crowes fan, buy it. If you're not, you can select some of the songs off the album like "Soul Singing", "No Use Lyin'", and "Lickin'" to get a taste of the 21st Century Crowes mixed with the 20th Century Crowes.

A different kind of Black Crowes album
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has taken me a while to get into this album. Lions is very different. If you are a fan, buy this album. If you are looking to explore The Black Crowes, buy Shake Your Moneymaker or Southern Harmony...and then buy this album. Either way, give it a few listens to sink in and enjoy.
