Q: Why do I have to restart my PC twice to activate the trotle unit ?
A: It is because, the usb game controller isn't hotswappable/and is powered by the flight stick. I wouldn't unplug and plug it in too much as it can cause damage. But you shouldn't have to restarted the PC at all, you should plug in the throttle in to the joystick, before the joystick's usb into the pc.

Lacking/incorrect parts.
I am unsure if this was a packaged model of the device that's been in backlog or something. But rather than show up with the PS/2 to usb cable that this site says it should arrive with it instead arrived with a straight ps/2 ps/2 cable. This is an extreme issue as I play on a laptop and don't have a ps/2 port. Once I am able to use the flightstick hopefully tomorrow when I purchase an adapter or cable I will either edit this review or post another updating my opinion. The local best buy did not have the cable or adapter I needed, they recommended a different local electronics store that was unfortunately closed by the time I received my package. My keyboard and mouse double ps/2 adapter did not work for this, this could either be because the cable is damaged, or more likely it was simply unhappy with it. I am not fully sure since it could be either. However it feels good to grip, the quality of the design is wonderful, comes with suction feet to attach firmly to your desk or table, buttons have a nice click and the stick and throttle move smoothly. How they perform in my games I will see.

Good Product
I love how these look and they perform pretty well. I though they would be built a little better though. Mine has scraping sound when moving the joystick to the left but it doesn't effect performance. Overall a good set. Use it for Star Citizen.

very happy
bought this to use with a flight combat game, only to find the software (ace combat 7) didn't support it. BIG plus, i found the programming to be way more than sufficient to make it work. was very pleased with the mechanical customization (right stick distance between index and pinky, throttle stiffness), but would be even happier with something similar for stick rotation. the manual could be more detailed, but i don't find that unusual.
