A: Thank you for your feedback about this product. This security camera system connects with an Ethernet cable for viewing over the network and remote viewing on a smartphone, computer etc. The BNC cable is used as the video input for the cameras. The Lorex Customer Service Team
Q: If a motion sensor triggers a camera to start recording can it also trigger a light to come on?
A: This unit dies not have that feature built into it. A separate motion light would be an easier solution.
Q: Does the 3 year warranty cover the cameras and the DVR?

A: Yes, it has audio ports. Microphone and cable sold separately.
A: Yes, included.are 60 foot camera/power cables for each camera. Two power adapter have four connections each, Additional cameras can be purchased through Best Buy. Depending on store stock they may have to be ordered. The recorder records continuously to end of recording space on hard drive then starts recording over from beginning or can be configured in settings.
Q: Can you view the footage on a Windows PC without having to copy to USB. i.e. through the network?
A: Yes video can be viewed through windows by connecting recorder and computer to same network. Live video can also be viewed from any internet connected computer or smart phone by using downloadable app.
Q: how reliable is the system is South Florida raining weather
A: Not sure about the long haul but mine were in a hard blowing rain a few says after installation. Although they are mounted under the eave of house they got wet during that storm wilthout any ill effect. I was familiar with Lorex before making my purchase and believe they are very reliable Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
