A: This unit dies not have that feature built into it. A separate motion light would be an easier solution.

A: Yes video can be viewed through windows by connecting recorder and computer to same network. Live video can also be viewed from any internet connected computer or smart phone by using downloadable app.

A: Not sure about the long haul but mine were in a hard blowing rain a few says after installation. Although they are mounted under the eave of house they got wet during that storm wilthout any ill effect. I was familiar with Lorex before making my purchase and believe they are very reliable Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
