Easily worth the $$$$$$!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen this product advertised and finally decided to try it. With BestBuy's return policy, I had enough time to use it and see if it 'worked' for me. Pretty simple to hook up, even for a non 'techie' like me. I chose an area code and, with the help of 'customer service' I had it up and running in no time. There was a slight 'challenge' finding customer service and then with one of the customer service associates or I'da given "Ease of Use" and "Excellent" rating too. Don't let that discourage you though because I liked the product so much, I bought a second one for my summer home. I'm gonna go online and search because there must be a way to run this through my indoor phone wiring so I can have multiple phones in different rooms hooked up to it. At $49.00 for the first six months, then $100.00 for the next five years, it's a great savings over the phone company. I'd feel very 'comfortable' recommending this product to anyone. dlc

Save some money!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the MagicJack as a way to get rid of my excessive phone bill for a home phone. It was pretty easy to install and setup. Porting the number over was done quicker than I was told during install. That was a good thing. I have used MagicJack with streaming TV and so far no dropped calls. Voices sound clear and easy to understand. It has many options that you setup online for your account including emailing your voice mail to you. It requires a network connection. Wireless would be nice, but I didn't need that option. I found the 911 setup a bit confusing, but MagicJack does a good job at explaining it, but 911 does need to be billed separately. The 911 separate billing is easy to do, pretty cheap for my area and all online. The MagicJack gets a bit warm which is not a real issue. The network LED lights are bright at night if you install it where someone sleeps or maybe just a cheap way to double up as a night light! My only surprise with the MagicJack is the caller ID shows the number only, not a name associated with it. There may be a way to program a name in, but I have not tried spent much time researching it. I have used MagicJack for about 2 months and so far so good.

Great service for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely happy with my Magic Jack. It saves a considerable amount of money and I can use a land line phone. It has not cut out on me. It has an annoying single beep during calls sometimes but it can be overlooked for the money. The set up was easy and I am not computer savvy. The customer service was a little difficult to deal with but overall a very good product. Paying full price for a phone line is foolish when you have a service like Magic Jack. I would recommend it.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great for many reasons: 1) My family lives in six different countries and we keep in touch with out big $$$, even on the cellphones, 2) Its cheap, 3) I can take my phone with me when I go to Europe just get a SIM card there and my Iphone still works like it did at home and people at home can still call me. Get one or two, they are great. LDC

Easy setup, decent call quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this at Best Buy on sale for $30, and at that price, this is a good deal. Configured this on my computer, after that I was able to plug it into the router and connect it to a regular cordless phone. That was it, total setup less than 5 minutes. So far, the call quality has been good. I am quite happy with my purchase.

It really works! Bye-bye landline.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome product! I use it in my small home office. It has saved me money already based on what I was paying monthly for a landline. It can be taken with you wherever you go...all you need is an internet connection. There 's also an app that allows you to save your cell phone minutes so you can make calls with your cell using your magic jack account. I love my magic jack!! I use it for phone calls and to send faxes. My Canon Pixma (all-in-one) works fine with the magic jack.

Works good at low cost if you have fast internet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have read many complaints about this product but my experience so far has been good. Had no trouble with installation of two of these and both seem to be working fine. We had tried previously with 1 Mgbt/sec DSL connection and it would not work. Now we have 5 Mgbt/sec fiber optic connection and it works fine so far during the month that it has been installed both for phone and fax. Based on what I have read, the quality and speed of your internet connection makes a difference. Porting old number over to Magic Jack worked quickly and easily for a $20 additional fee. I don't trust it enough to use it for business yet, but for personal calling and faxing it works well enough. I am worried that call quality might not be reliable, but only have limited evidence of this so far.

Not too bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess it's a great thing. It has its advantages and disadvantages.First of all,it has no monthly billing!Which is great.Secondly,it's portable, take it with you everywhere. But,unfortunately,if your internet connection acts up for whatever reason (even if you have fast fios like me),it affects the phone connection. Obviously, you can't use the phone when Internet connection is low. So,basically the Majic Jack could be used as a second line,or you could have it as a primary line if you still wanna keep your home phone when primarily using the cell phone like I do (and I am certain, this is what others do nowadays also)
