Q: Does this product come with Microsoft office
A: No, You will need to purchase Office if it is something you need. Office 365 comes with Word, Power Point, Excel, One Note, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. It also includes 1 Terabyte of One Drive Cloud storage and 60 World Skype Minutes. Well worth the cost in my opinion.
A: Hello Joanna! I am currently writing this on my i5 that I picked up about a month ago, but I did use the m3 model extensively before then. I use my Surface almost exclusively for law school. I will say that I did notice a difference between the two models. The most obvious area that I noticed a difference was when using a browser with multiple tabs open while doing research. On the m3, I did notice some slow down after having about 7-10 tabs open, depending what was on each tab, while also having OneNote or Microsoft Word open, while also streaming Spotify. With the i5, I find that I can have more than double that many tabs and still not experience any sort of lag, even with the aforementioned programs open. If you have the extra money to put towards the i5, I would say it is definitely worth it, especially if you can get it on sale. I also feel that the i5 will be more future proof, as newer programs will tend to take up more processing power. I hope this helps!
Q: What is the difference between this and the pro 4?
A: From appearance standpoint, they look almost identical. However, from processing standpoint, this is a much faster model. From what I read, the i5 version of this model (the mid range model) performs better than the i7 model (the high end model) of the Surface Pro 4. The new Surface Pro also doesn't have a fan, so no moving parts, no noise, and no overheating. The surface pro 4 is almost 2 years old now, while this one just came out in July.

A: Once a drive is formatted, you will have less than it's actual capacity. So 128 gb's on paper becomes, roughly 117gbish. On top of that, Windows will occupy somewhere between 15 and 20gb's. So you should expect to have around 100gb's free.
