A: I paid a lot of money for my surface and it stopped working after 2 years. The warranty was up and they wanted me to pay $600 to replace it with a refurbished one that comes with a 3 month warranty. I laughed. I'll never buy a Microsoft computer of any kind again.
Q: Does the Surface Laptop stay cool or run hot?
A: I had a Core I7 Surface Pro 3 and that ran really hot, lots of fan noise. But my new Surface Pro is running very cool and I have yet to find it hot in the 2 weeks since I purchased it and I would consider myself a power user.
Q: Does the model come with LTE?
A: This product is not LTE enabled.
Q: What kind of graphics processor does it have? Can I run engineering programs like AutoCAD?
A: Get the i7 to run Autocad type of software.
Q: Does it come with the keyboard/cover and a stylus?
A: No the new Surface Pro does not come with the keyboard nor the Surface Pen.
A: 15 days. After that, you won't be able to return it at all. There is a small possibility they would do a trade in (like they do with cellhpones) for a couple hundred bucks on a gift card. If you're an elite member you have 30 days.
Q: Does the Surface come with a network card?
A: There is a NIC but it is wifi only....no physical plug-in. You need to buy the docking station in order to get a hardwired network card (and display ports) or purchase a USB NIC dongle. Based on the location of the ports and whether or not you plan to travel with it, it might be a good idea to buy both. I don't see the USB port standing up to repeated plugging/unplugging of a dongle given the high location on the right side of the tablet.
Q: Would a surface 3 pen work on a surface pro 4?
A: I would say yes, but I am not sure. If you are getting a Surface Pro 4, it comes with a stylus. It is the 2017 model that does not include the stylus.
