Feeding my new projector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just installed a 4K projector with a 120” screen is n my home. So I’ve been buying blu-ray movies I have not seen in years to feed it. This is a great movie! I had forgotten how amazing and funny the acting is. The big plus is the quality of this transfer to blu-ray is amazing. Looks better than many 4K discs I have.

moonstruck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moonstruck derives from a mind set for which the greatest special effect is an actor giving an interesting performance and a director's main job is to cast the right actors and orchestrate a seamless ensemble. Few have done this as well, and no one has ever done it better, than Norman Jewison in Moonstruck. The film remains as fresh today as when it was released, even now when much of the neighborhood it depicts has been knocked down and turned into condos. We can still enter its vibrant world to share great meals (and more) with the Castorinis, Cappomaggis and Cammareris. No matter how many times someone says, "I don't want to talk about it!", they're always there, still talking.

1980s contemporary classic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No sooner does Italian-American widow Loretta (Cher) accept a marriage proposal from her doltish boyfriend, Johnny (Danny Aiello), than she finds herself falling for his younger brother, Ronny (Nicolas Cage). She tries to resist, but Ronny lost his hand in an accident he blames on his brother, and has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls deeper in love, she comes to learn that she's not the only one in her family with a secret romance.

Snap out of it! And just watch the flick!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a gift for a friend but she never got it (Oops!) She has always talked about how good Moonstruck was. When the Blu-ray made it to my house-I figured I’d watch it before handing it over to her (She’s a close family friend-she wouldn’t cared if I watched lol). Well, I like it..so I’m gonna keep it now. It’s re-watchable. Glad I never told her I purchased it. Great plot, terrific acting. Cher did an incredible job! She really does have wonderful acting chops. No question about that. Cher carried the film but the whole cast held their own tho

One of my top 5 movies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has always been one of my favorite films. I especially enjoy the interactions between the various members of the extended Italian-American family. Olympia Dukakis deserved her Academy award and several other cast members should have been nominated. Overall, you won't regret this movie. And the upgrade from the DVD to the Blu-ray is worth the price of admission.

Heart warming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I fell under the spell of this mesmerizing romantic comedy and it is on my top ten best movies of all time list. Cher (Best actress), Cage (at his best), Dukakis (Best supporting actress), Gardenia (delightful) and Aiello (very good) are all great in their portrayals of these wacky italian family members. Blu-ray 1:85:1 plus limited bonus features.
