Possibly the best phone I've had, and only $200!

It's been a little over a week since I've had my Moto E4 Plus, and the results are spectacular. I was coming from a Moto X Pure Edition more than 2 years old with the battery was on its last leg, draining 20% for 10 minutes of playing Pokemon Go (or any other game, really), and dying at 30%. To say that I've had anxiety with battery life on cell phones is really understating it. Having my phone off the charger while at work felt like a curse. The Moto E4 Plus resolves all of my battery anxieties, and more. As a $200 phone, you shouldn't expect high-end features such a super spectacular camera, amazingly fast GPU, or with super fancy modes or a high resolution screen, but you'll probably even find (as I did) that these features are not even necessary in crafting a superb phone, and that you aren't settling for less by not getting a new Samsung Galaxy. I demand a lot out of my phone and use it very frequently, and I've found that the Moto E4 Plus has kept up every step of the way. It even handles games like Pokemon Go better than I thought it would. And that battery life, wow. All 5000mAh of glory. That's 66.6% more battery than a Galaxy S8. I hear some people complain about it being slower than other phones, and I can see there is decreased performance, but it just isn't enough to work against the phone. The performance is just fine. I couldn't recommend this phone enough, and I can't rave enough about the battery. I've never had a smartphone that I didn't charge every day, and I've already gone two days without having to charge my phone. I'm surprised that this is considered a budget phone, because it sure doesn't feel like I'm using a budget phone. This device is really something special, and I have no regrets about my purchase.

Excellent phone for the price for work and play

Excellent phone for the price for work and play. I was nervous to buy this phone but pleasantly surprised. It's amazing! Pros: If you like 5.5 inch phones it's light and just feels nice to hold even with a case. Plays all side scroller games of 2017 perfectly (Injustice2, transformers, shadow fight3, ufc mobile, morphite, etc). It just takes time to load but it's not a Flagship phone. There's no lag though once it loads. Phone calls are clear and quick to dial. I have had the LG G3 - 400 dollar phone that had the screen blank bug. Also have the Iphone6 which for some reason lags when typing most of the time. Must be the battery slow down issue. Also the screen is too small for games for me to be comfortable. Both the LG G3 and Iphone6 resolution makes the images and text too small. I don't need a super high resolution. 1080 is just perfect for the size. I don't like images being too tiny. This screen is just vibrant and comfortable to look at. Good battery life. I had to keep the LG G3 plugged in mostly. E4 plus has the features I need and does not include useless gimmicky features. Feels lighter than my LG G3 and Iphone6. E4 plus is just so comfortable to hold and use for long periods. Cons: Of course the E4 plust camera is not the greatest but it's not the worst either. The LG G3, Iphone5 were not good at low light either. Iphone6 has excellent camera. The E4 plus can't play some First person games smoothly but I don't want to play First first games on a mobile device anyways. Bottom line: Amazing for the price. Yes I sold my PS Vita.

I bought this unlocked phone because I didn't want to get the so called "free" phones that you're stuck with a plan or have to buy an additional line with. I already had an older phone that wasn't working very well anymore and wasn't powerful enough to run my newly purchased fitness device. Plus, I just wanted to upgrade with my same phone plan at no cost. With this I kept my same plan at same cost, no change or additions to the plan necessary. Also buying a phone from a phone carrier at full price will cost twice as much and the Best Buy protection plan is much lower. The phone has very nice functionality (love the fingerprint feature to open) and plenty of RAM to run my advanced fitness watch device. Also has plenty of space for all the apps I use. I've had it a week and have not had any troubles with connecting to WiFi (home or away) or towers. My carrier was great about setting it up (transferring data and chips) in their store at no cost and also showed me some tricks to save money (T-Mobile has been awesome by the way).

    Sublime practicality

I absolutely love this phone so far. Every dumb design decision being made on 'flagship' phones is reversed on the E4. 1) The battery (of course). As I type this, I can't even remember the last time I charged.. was it 3 or 4 days ago..? Battery still at 40 percent, about 2 days charge remaining. It's insane. If people lived with this phone for a while, I bet most would NEVER want to sacrifice this convenience to make a phone a couple of mm thinner. 2) It has a bezel, which reduces accidental screen presses when holding the phone and helps protect the screen. 3) It has a headphone jack, so can be plugged into standard audio components. 4) Price is amazing. About a fifth what I paid for my old HTC a few years ago. Two other points- I liked the loud speakers on my HTC, but I also find this phone to be loud enough. And, it does everything I need a smartphone to do. Bravo, Moto. Please keep a model like this in your lineup for people who value practicality. I would also like to thank Best Buy for honoring their price match policy after I bought this phone right before a big price drop.

It's been many years since I've used a Motorola brand phone, so I was a little hesitant to buy this. However, I did my best to look at reviews and really grilled the store reps on specs and opinions. At the end of the day, this phone met my budget which is the main reason I bought it. It has not disappointed one bit! The phone has a great processor which means non of my videos, apps, games, or media I'm general ever lag of freeze on me. That's always an important detail I look to in a phone I own. The camera, though not necessarily the best when comparing it to other phones, like the latest iPhone or Samsung models, is surprisingly great for a phone this price. It's not grainy or fuzzy in any way, and it delivers really great images. Call sound and voice are crisp and clean. The functionality, with it's fingerprint sensor, is incredibly useful and smooth. You can do almost anything with the phone with just one hand thanks to this. All in all this is a great phone and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking to buy a phone on a $300 budget. I don't regret it.

This phone seems to be filling my need very nicely. I wanted an adequate, unlocked smartphone that I could use in a limited manner with a pre-paid plan. This one can work with either of the major networks GSM or CDMA. I chose the one I wanted and its working fine. I have yet to try it in all the weaker signal areas I sometimes visit. I don't need to use it often and it is more of a connected tablet that I can talk on, if needed. It has great battery capacity and with 32 GB onboard it should suit my needs. I can limit its data access to only at home on WiFi and only turn data access on -if and when- I want to access something remotely. I'm not looking for games, movies, facebook, or entertainment. If I don't sound like a typical smartphone addict, I'm not. After a 40+ year career chained to a phone as an engineer in a service roll, I've cut that chain (retired) and do not plan to reconnect it with anything stronger than a twist-tie.

I have avoided large cell phone bills for many years now by using unlocked phones, all started with a BLU phone many years ago. I switched to this Motorola as I like the brand, also,of course,it is unique in as much as it will work with GSM and CDMA carriers, ergo, any service offered in the good old USA.HD screen is crisp and clear as you would expect, battery between charging is second to none, all apps work fast and flawlessly and took less than 20 minutes to set up out of the box.No contacting my carrier to register, just put the SIM card in and I was all set.Downloaded apps I wanted, vertually no bloatware to speak of and what I didn’t need I either deleted or uninstalled. For me, this is a great phone and cases are very easily obtainable especially on line for little money.I got an otter box like case with built in screen protector with holster for less than $12. Perfect phone for my needs.

I bought this phone to replace my wife's Droix Maxx 2 (which is only a year old), and she couldn't be happier. The Maxx 2 is sluggish....you can't move apps to SD....and it lacks so many convenience features that the Moto E4 Plus has. The E4 has a 5000mah battery, so she never has to grab her charger at like 4pm in the afternoon. The E4 battery easily lasts all day with moderate use. The E4 works smoothly, looks nice, and is a great bang for the buck. I personally have a 2 year old Galaxy Note 5, and even I was impressed with how nice it is. It is also compatible on the Verizon network. Very happy with purchase!
