Stays fresh through season 4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's amazing how well the writers do at keeping this show fresh into it's forth season. That's a long time to reuse characters. (Nearly every character in the show is a reboot of a famous fairy tale character) The writers keep the characters original even though they have been around for longer than many of the viewers. They change the nature of the characters without being offensive to your childhood memories. (Captain Hook is a decent person. Peter Pan is evil. And somehow it works!) The Evil Queen from Snow White becomes likable after being evil, etc, etc. It all keeps the story fresh, rather than being one episode after another where the same good guys battle the same bad guys over and over and over. The relationships between the characters are constantly evolving. The addition of the Frozen characters so far this season has been interesting. The casting, make up, and costuming is PERFECT to match the animated Frozen characters. All in all the show is just fun. While it has a lot of the traits of being 'campy', it somehow comes off as totally entertaining. Don't start watching from season 4 though. You will be completely lost. Start at the beginning and enjoy it.

We have extra Popcorn ready.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have just finished season four. and there is still some popcorn left in the bowl. about as much as our daughter would have eaten had she been here and not away at collage. The story line is still going well. The extras included in this package were fun to watch. I told my daughter that there was a spoiler alert. "It seems that the butler did it, in the kitchen with a knife". The popcorn bowl is here clean (thanks to our dog) waiting for Season five and our daughter to return from that party she calls collage. :o) This purchase was a good value for the money. I hope you enjoy it with the people you care about (or even your relatives). :o)

Fun show
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My favorite TV shows are serialized dramas, and "Once Upon a Time" is one of the best of those. It's a clever twist on childhood fairy tales, with famous characters like Snow White, Red Riding Hood, the Evil Queen, and others being real people who, due to an evil curse, have been transported from the Enchanted Forest to a small town in Maine. Beginning in season 3, "OUaT" transitioned to a fall/spring split half season structure. In season 4, the fall arc built on the narrative from the movie "Frozen" (both that and this show are produced by Disney), and the spring arc pitted our main characters against three "queens of darkness." Season 4 wasn't the strongest one in the series history, but it still delivered consistent entertainment with multiple strong female characters. Indeed, one of the interesting things about this show is that nearly all of the male characters seem bland, while the female ones (Snow, Emma, Regina) really drive things. If you are into the Bechdel test, this show passes easily.

Once Upon a Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once Upon a Time is one of my favorite TV shows. The 4th season is just as exciting as the previous 3. This season the characters from Frozen play a major part of the first half of the season. Through out the season they talk about Happy Endings and search for the storyteller who writes the happy endings. This season the flow of the story is wonderfully paced. The best part of the show is seeing how imperfect our fairytale characters are after being taught how perfect they were. I loved the cliffhanger for this season and cannot wait for season 5 with the characters of Brave!

Love this show!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've enjoyed the three previous seasons of Once Upon a Time, so was eager to add season 4 to my collection. This is a fun show with likeable characters and interesting storylines. I really like the way they bring the past and present together when telling characters' back stories. Captain Hook and Mr. Gold are my favorite characters, but I really enjoy watching Emma and Snow kick butt! If you like fairy tales, you simply must give this show a chance! Picture quality was exceptional for DVD and I have no complaints about the video or audio. Enjoy!

Once Upon A Fourth Season
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picking up from where the 3rd season left off the mysterious Snow Queen seems to know both Emma and Elsa of Arendelle who arrives in Storybrooke looking for her sister Anna. This Snow Queen is not after a good relationship with them. The banished Rumpelstiltskin enlists the evil trio of Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella De Vil to help him get back into Storybrooke with a scheme to rewrite their stories. Chaos abounds in this seasons 23 episodes.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The entire series is simply amazing with great acting, great scenery and period appropriate clothing. To go further in so many fairy tales is quite a feat in itself. Incredible special effects!
