It's Exactly What You Think It Is!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....best Blu-ray set of the year! Yes the famous 1983 Spanish gore flick PIECES comes to life in this amazing set from Grindhouse Releasing. Packed with special features (including a sterling documentary on New York City's 42nd Street) and a wonderful new print, this film looks better than it has any right to be! Not only do you get 2 Blu-ray discs (including alternate audio tracks) but there is an audio compact disc with the complete score. If that isn't enough the booklet contains new comments by Gore Gazette legend Rick Sullivan along with a fabulous piece by the late, great Chas Balun. How any self respecting horror/exploitation fan can go without this disc in 2016 is beyond me...

Support the niche labels
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grindhouse Releasing is a small blu-ray distributor, but they put more effort than most mainstream labels (WB, Fox, Universal, etc.) ever put into their releases. Because of this they have to price their releases at $20+ but, like The Criterion Collection they are worth the extra $. If you enjoy film, then I highly implore you to support the niche label distributors like Grindhouse Releasing, Vinegar Syndrome, Synapse, Shout!/Scream!, etc. Btw, Pieces is one fun/gory 80's slasher cheese!

As bad as it is good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are expecting a great film you are in the wrong place. If you are expecting a great B movie then you will love it. It's cheesy overly confusing with numerous plot holes. The acting is awful and overall I loved this film.

Amazing Release from Grindhouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grindhouse is in my opinion the best label at releasing cult horror films. The transfer of the movie is amazing and the special features are over flowing. Best blu ray release of 2016 so far in my opinion.

Cheers to Juan Piquer Simon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie is everything you expect it to be. And the best part is that it holds no punches on the gore and exploitation. A special kudos to Ian Sera (Rick from Pod People) and Edmund Perdom.
