Q: Does this come with a low profile bracket?

A: I just bought this at BestBuy. It does include the low profile bracket.

Q: I can't see anything in the specs listed here as far as power requirements; do I need to upgrade my power supply? What does this graphics card draw?

A: You most like won't need a power supply upgrade. I bought this card for that exact reason. I put it in a Dell Optiplex 790 slim and it had a Dell standard factory 240 Watt power supply and it runs fine as an entry level gaming machine running many modern game titles at 30FPS on Med/High settings and 1080 resolution.

Q: Would this be an upgrade from a GT 730? Does it have the similar power requirements?

A: Obviously systems specs come into play in addition to upgrading the graphics card, but generally you should see your frame rate almost double in games by upgrading from a GT 730 to a GT 1030 ..so nearly a 100% performance increase on average.

Q: What kind of a slot do these cards require ?

A: Card requires a PCI Express X 16 Slot. That would be the one about 3&1/2" long with the first tab up next to the bracket being about 1/2".

Q: Does this support 4K at 60hz over HDMI?

A: Yes. It will handle 4K. Keep it mind it is NOT a high end Game card requiring 100fps( frames per second) I use it mine edit HD movies. Search Youtube for OzTalksHW reviews.

Q: I have a nvidia 580 in Aurora rig, 6 yrs old. Running W-7 Pro/64, eight cores I7-2600, and PS=800 watts. Concern is head room. Will this reliably replace the 580? My rig is crashing to BSD when booted from C:HDD, it appears the nvidia drivers are cause

A: The 1030 is slower than your 580, but if that is not an issue then the 1030 pulls a lot less power and is smaller in size, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean by headroom. A 1050 would be better than your card for not much more money and would still be smaller and more power efficient, 30W for the 1030, 75W for the 1050, and 288W for the 580.

Q: Some people say that this is ddr5, but the site's subject is ddr4, who is the correct one?

A: I did order this card while the site still specified ddr5 everywhere on the site. I ended up receiving a ddr4 card which was only specified on a small sticker on the card itself. I did research beforehand and saw that they 'silently' switched to ddr4 and specifically purchased this one because it specifically said ddr5 everywhere. Once i realized i received ddr4, I contacted pny to question their unadvertised performance change to a well established model. They did send me a ddr5 card replacement (RMA) free of charge. Even the menus on my media server were so choppy with the ddr4. They are very smooth with the ddr5 version. It is a great media server card if you get the ddr5 but the ddr4 is not sufficient. Bottom line is that you cant trust that you will receive the ddr5 version when ordering this model from pny although it seems best buy has updated their description to dd4.

Q: Is it ddr5

A: In spite of the previous two answers and what the PNY site says for this product, the answer is... No. In recent shipments, the ram has been swapped out for regular DDR4 ram. Check the spec list on THIS site. It does actually say DDR4. I bought this card based on the very answers given here. But no GDDR5, only SDDR4. I haven't bothered returning it because I'm just using this to hold me over until I can get a higher-end card later in the year.
